About

Demos Oneiroi, or the Land of Dreams, where Oneiroi (Dreams) dwell.
In Greek mythology, the oneiroi are sons of Nyx, Goddess of Night and Shadow. They are brothers to Hypnos (Sleep), Genos (Age) and Thanatos (Death). They are said to aid our dreams and nightmares.
There are few mammals in this world who have not entered "the Land of Dreams". It is a place many are very familiar with, and some have even learned to traverse this land with ease. Those of us who are able to do so are sometimes called Oneironauts, literally Dream Travellers.
I myself am a Dream Traveller. Ergo, my handle; In honour of this mysterious other land in which we journey alongside our lives here on Earth.

I am here to lurk threads that go in-depth on topics of interest. Lately this includes, but is not limited to, the Supernatural Forum (SNF), the Extended Discussion, and Artists Corner >> Writers. Every now and then I tip posts I like or agree with, vote in polls, and subscribe or <3 threads. Maybe I'll throw in my two cents here and there, but for the most part I learn a lot of interesting things from strangers who don't even know I'm there.

Sekhmet Nocturna

I get it all the time but the pic is important to me so I don't mind. I didn't draw it, I stole it from the interwebs... sweatdrop It's a picture of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet. She was a goddess of war and love, and she's always been kind of a symbol to me of a badass woman who is strong, confident, and powerful. When I feel weak I try to channel her strength to make me a stronger person. smile

I like this picture, because it portrays her on one side as more of the animal (the warrior), and a woman (the lover) on the other side. I liked the duality and how they blended together.
