Hi, I'm Decidere, but you can
call me Deci. I hail from a tiny
town a little way southeast of
      London. I'm a history enthusiast
with a height complex and I wish
      I could say I pack a punch, but I don't.
I'm kind of awkward in real life, but I love having in-depth discussions on the internet. I drink a lot of coffee, I play a lot of video games and I can speak German to a good degree. I live in a state of organised chaos; to anyone else my desk is overflowing with junk, but I do know where everything is, and I like it that way. I'm a little obsessive about everything, and once I get really into a fandom I can be raving about it for months. My current fandoms include Axis Powers Hetalia, Legend of Zelda and Soul Eater. My music also means a lot to me; my favourite bands are The Magnetic Fields, Belle & Sebastian, Bad Religion and The Divine Comedy, but I have diverse taste in music and so I listen to lots of different genres varying from metal to classical. ... I always sound terribly formal when I'm writing about myself, but to be honest, I'm a lot less formal usually! If you want to PM me for a chat, feel free, I could use some company and I love meeting new people! /Links are scattered around my profile; click the butterfly to PM me, the big red flower to add me, the owl to trade and "comment" to leave a comment.

i can prove 2 is 5 but you have to assume the existance of imaginary numbers and the ability to divide by 0

haha yeps! the only thing you can prove by example is disproving something. so if a statement says that there is no even number that when multiplied by an odd makes an even you can quote 2x3=6, 6 is divisible by 2 thus is even.

proof by induction just requires the statement to be true for a starting value, a general value bigger than your starting value and one bigger than your general value so n=1, n=k, n=k+1. Its actually quite a cool way of doing it. but yeh once brought down to the axiums (undeniable building blocks of maths) it cant go any further down

higher paid, but at the moment in lower demand what with all the finance jobs going with companies trying to save money.

Justification is always important, bringing it down to the level of geometric or algebraic axioms. I enjoy that sorta thing, maths but not knowing WHY is just silly.

haha yeh, i can pick up the reading and listening of a language but i am never able to speak or write in it. Useful but unhelpful.

Maths, i have always been very interested in and i find the course is just the same as what i did in 6th form but with more proofs rather than them just showing you how you do a question. but then again i dont know about others because i did the IB which seems much more like university style maths than A-levels were...
