What Planet is This?! is so flippin' awesome. And they timed it perfectly in the film.

Cowboy Bebop has a more West-style set up to the series, in that it's mostly episodic in nature. I think that's part of why it got so popular in the US.
What's the other anime you like?

My sister and her boyfriend went to Boston this week cuz that's where my sister went to school. She made some new friends there. But she still finds time to physically hang out with old friends.

One of her friends lives in Rhode Island now. Sister and her bf are currently up there seeing her.

4laugh Even if I were to lose contact with all the girls, it's 2012. We have skype, social sites, cellphones...They're always developing new ways for people to keep in touch with others, instead of using just a telephone or a cellphone or email.

I'm sorry I snapped at you. I just get annoyed when people say that. Sure, I'll obviously make NEW friends and most likely not spend as much time with my old friends as I used to.

See, I actually have just 3 close girlfriends. One of them is going to Pennsylvania, but that's ok, because it's right by NJ. It's so easy to drive to PA and back. The other two are going to the local community college with me.

It's just cuz the college is mega cheap and has good teachers and stuff. It's a two-year college for starters.

My one friend DID say she wants to move to the UK, though. ._.

We're going to the same college. xd And we all live in the same town. I hate it when people say, "You'll never see your high school friends again."

I don't believe in that bullshit because my brother and sister still talk to their friends and hang out with them.

I've said bad things about it, not wanting to go because it offers high school courses like science and history. Ugh.

But the good news is that you only take those courses if you're going for a General Studies degree or Undecided. I chose to go for Journalism.

I can type up blogs and articles about feelings and reactions to things, get to travel and see the world (depending on how good I am), get to talk to people about incidents, which I LOVE (always wanted to interview people), and yeah. smile

I see...On a cheery note, I applied to my first college ever, first application ever. All online, which made it ten times easier and less nerve-racking. My guidance counselor helped me. It's just the local community college, for two years, to start.

Nothin'. You? OMG MY 18TH BIRTHDAY IS ON MONDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

I hate partying on a school night cuz of getting up early the next day, so I'm gonna have it on Saturday if I can. Saturday night. I hate Sundays, too, cuz you have school the next day.

Applebees for dinner and then cake at my house. My first birthday in a house (grew up in an apartment since birth; moved out just in May). My first birthday in my first real house.

I'm inviting Sam (although there's a chance she'll have work), Sev, Michele, and Holly Berry Peachtree.

I just call Holly the name Holly Berry Peachtree. lol

We ARE seniors in HIGH SCHOOL, so...Sam is really the only immature one, though. Michele does what she can to keep it together when times are rough, and is the most mature out of all of us, shutting Sam up from her bitching. Sev is just fun to be around and makes me laugh all the time.

But Sam...Ugh. She used to be so fun. Now she's just a girl whose problems in life are about how "crappy" her phone is, when it's pretty good. Her biggest worry in life is that she's not due for an upgrade til January 2013. She HAS a job, but she wants her mommy to buy it for her. Her mom is an elementary teacher. She barely makes anything.

If I based my characters on my friends, you'd get screaming girls that love nutella. A materialistic ungrateful brat who goes on and on about wanting an iPhone and has major anxiety, a girl who's always sad cuz there's NEVER a happy moment in her household, a loud girl who dates people 21+ on SKYPE or OMEGLE, and...

Hmm. I love all my friends, but to be honest their flaws bother the crap out of me. I don't want to base my characters off my friends cuz you'd get whiny bratty loud people.

To be different, I tried basing the main girl off of me. Not EVERYTHING, like we don't know what her music tastes and whatnot are. She just has some of my positive and negative qualities.

I LOVE a brutally short temper on an anime/manga girl, but...SHE just can't do it. I just can't see it! I can see her getting mad and yelling, but I really can't see her punching someone through a wall or plotting to kill the person.

She's the only one I get lost on. It's like, "Yeah, so who are you again?" if I met her.

I do have one little character I've had since I was 11 or 12. She's like the typical small youngest girl in the story, a happy enthusiastic character.

But she's not bratty like Chibiusa from Sailor Moon, and she's not super annoying like Pudding Fong from Tokyo Mew Mew. Sh's like a GOOD version of Chibiusa or Pudding that doesn't annoy you.

In the Slayers anime, I love Lina's freakouts and badass magic, and how she will only save your life if you're going to pay her. She doesn't want that magic book for the benefit of others; she only wants it for HERSELF. XD Even though Goury fights alongside her with his sword, she's actually stronger than him.

I imagine my own main character with the temper of Lina Inverse and Edward Elric, and all I get is OBNOXIOUS-NESS. It's like, only CERTAIN characters in any fiction can pull off a short temper and anger issues. My character can't.
