People are all different. I've met thirteen-year-olds that are more intelligent, emotionally mature, responsible, and morally upright than people in their forties, fifties, and even sixties. There's a mountain of evidence putting a lie to the idea of arbitrary age distinctions. I'm here because I get along better and relate better to people in their teens and twenties, probably because I'm not the most mature or together person; people my age also seem very judgmental and inflexible.

I totally know I don't have to accept friend requests; what does that have to do with why you sent me one and what you do with it? I mean, don't we all do things for reasons? If you want to have an acquaintance, don't you expect him to talk to you, etc?

And, you didn't answer my question, either, which I guess I will have to recap to you: you want people to be interested in you and listen to you, yet you told me you're not interested in what I have to say about myself ... isn't that being pretty much a selfish hypocrite? Desire the attention you refuse to give in return? Fair?

It's actually a good skill to learn, talking about yourself. It helps you learn a bit about yourself, overcome some social inhibitions, and people like me who are genuinely interested in people (people that don't bother us, at least) tend to appreciate that kind of openness and honesty that helps to build meaningful friendships.
