Bands, Childhood, School, Friends

Some people call me Dan or Daniel, but mostly I prefer Danny. Mum (I call him Mum, anyway; Dad got us on that) started on it when I was a kid, and most everyone’s called me Danny ever since.

I grew up close to London. My brother Gerald used to take me to the London Eye when the weather was nice. Or we’d go further out in the country and watch some of the Quidditch teams practice. He took me to see Coversluts and Cracked Iris a couple of times, y’know, they weren’t as big then so I reckon I’m glad to have seen them. Don’t listen to Coversluts anymore, but I love Cracked Iris. The lead singer writes me back sometimes, I’ve saved all her autographs and letters. They’re tacked up on my wall.

I’m in Hufflepuff, which didn’t surprise me much. I want to be a social worker when I graduate, specifically to help out Travelers. I’ve been reading on Traveling since I was a kid. My parents are Travelers, actually; they made up a last name when they married because of how common “Snape,” “Black” and “Potter” are.

I’ve been friends with Hugo Weasley for years, had a crush on another classmate for as long as I can remember, and I get along with everyone, really. I’m a reserve player on the House team, just in case there’s need for another Seeker. I’m okay in all my classes, I struggle a bit in Potions, but I haven’t failed anything yet!

Well… let’s just keep fingers crossed, anyway.

Family & Etc

I get along well with my family, I know loads of kids don’t. Being raised by three different people gets weird sometimes, since Father’s stricter than Dad or Mum. I’m the baby of the family so I reckon I get away with more than Gerald ever did. Like going to see Cracked Iris on a school night.

Gerald is the daytime manager of London’s Marvin’s Grocers, reckon I’ll get weekend hours there next summer. My Mum’s Seeker for Puddlemere United, so I get to see loads more practices and matches now. Dad’s an on-again-off-again mechanic, mostly just a “lay-about” according to Mum. And Father’s a Healer at St Mungo’s, he’s the ED Healer. That means he oversees patients that haven’t got much hope. S’really sad.

Huh.

Dunno what else to talk about. Favorite bands, childhood, school, family - guess I’ve covered most of it, haven’t I? You can just ask about the rest.
