Yup yup! Y/w~ I try and think of different ways to flavour the soup without changing it too much, because I don't like it very much, but I tolerate it when I am on that diet xD The flavour is okay, but it's generally the consistency of the cooked veg that turns me off. I think adding a bit of fresh, chopped celery to give it a bit of crunch livens it a little.

It's good to go on a diet that's similar to what you already eat. My Dad went on that diet and he lost a lot of weight, but he didn't last long because well--he's a meat and potatoes kind of man LOL. Fruit & Soup/ Veg& Soup/ Bananas, Milk & Soup... Yeah, not really his thing. Those meat days just didn't roll around fast enough! No will power, I tell you rofl

Oh heh--and Wally World is just a nickname for Wal-mart really. Sometimes I say it without realizing other people might not realize what I am talking about. Kids I grew up with used to call it that. I duno why though XD

Yikes--that's terrible about your husband's frogs. Plecos are scary things, mine sucked quite a bit off of one of my old goldfish. I had only had it a week or two before the thing got murdered. It was a pretty white one too ;-;

Holy crap, 13 betta. That's a handful! I'm sure it was quite a sight, though. CX <3

Oh--I have a friend who likes to buy the sickest and "ugliest" betta from Wal-mart and give them a nice home until they are ready to pass on to the happy hunting grounds. (:

I've only had one betta before, because I find it difficult to keep them on their own, I do better with larger tanks. However, lately I've been fantasizing about having a quaint little 5 gallon aquarium to go next to my bed. I have my 29 gallon guppy tank in my bedroom, but it's nice to be able to look at an aquarium up close while going to sleep. Aaah, it's so relaxing. :D

Oh! And you are trying out that soup diet? That is great~ I find that when I am starting to get bored of the soup, I just pop it in a blender until it is smooth and creamy. Gives a little variation to what you have to eat from day to day. rofl

Also if you like it spicy, hot pepper flakes are nice in it. (My mom loves it with pepper flakes XDD)

All of the fish I have ever gotten from Petsmart or similar places have come with fungus or swimbladder problems. ):

Now all of my fish are rescues from Wal-mart. I was going to go to some LFS to find a Lionhead, Ranchu or Oranda, but I was at walmart and saw a tank full of little Lionheads that were really really ill. The one I was eyeing had a ulcer-like blemish and horrendous anchor worm on him. My sister and I boldly decided to bring one home and treat him. He only cost around $3, so we figured if he didn't make it through the night, we could get another. I had never treated anchor worm and ulcers before, but I found that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to handle a fish out of water. (Or well--half out of water. I found a way to keep him partially submerged while I treated him, since the ulcer was on his bum lol)

Anyway--he has been doing spectacular ever since. I had two other fancy goldfish from Wal-mart that I've had for around a year now. They were little fry when I first got them! Oooh so tiny <3 They are much healthier than anything I have had from Petsmart. The two I had from Petsmart ended up dying (one by a pleco in a fight over food, and the other from a nonfunctional swimbladder &various other problems I think. I ended up getting rid of that Pleco, btw--hard to keep with goldfish).

Hah--I vowed never to buy a goldfish from a LFS ever again, if it was at all possible. If I desperately am in need of an Oranda or something similar that I cannot find at Wal-mart, then I might, but otherwise I am just fine with Wally World goldies. They don't get enough love <3

Aah, it makes me so happy whenever people talk to me about my fish. No one really pays attention to my jabbering, except my sister (who takes care of them with me IRL). Everyone thinks I'm the crazy fish lady. XD

My sister is enthusiastic about the fish, but I think she mostly loves her snails, which she has just recently become obsessed with. Pond snails of all things. rofl

She keeps feeding them zucchini that is supposed to be for our Otocinclus. Aiya~ xD

But yeah, I know how you feel about the journal thing. I look for people talking about their fishkeeping experiences on Google. I go ape when I find a site that has lots of cute or funny fish stories on it, I love to hear about what other people do with their fish. C:

What type of fish do you breed, if you don't mind me asking~?
