I suppose I could... I know one author Kim Harrison who has a pixie that's the comedic relief in her one series. No I wouldn't. I follow Dr's orders, sometimes less since I have a sensitive stomach and pain meds often have things in them that agitate my stomach. Aw, that sucks even worse. Well I've found that people say "I'm sorry" for a lot of things. Even though it doesn't do much, I guess it means we're worried for that person. If something bad happens, people often respond by saying "I'm sorry you're going through whatever situation you're going through." So it's used as a sympathetic word as well, not just for apologies. I suppose it wouldn't be. I know we have similar things taken from other languages since America was started by multiple countries (er rather multiple countries invaded America I suppose... As it was with every other place in the world that has indigenous people). And I'm glad to answer any questions! I love being surprised by some of the conversations I have with people on gaia (when they can be broad in topics over some small thing that sparks a conversation that lasts for multiple days).

I listen to whatever I feel like? As I said before I listen to mostly pop rock, I listen to the catchier/calmer bands before I go to sleep. More so acoustic stuff before bed. As for books I read mostly sci fi stuff (vampires, werewolves, ghosts, ghouls, pixies, fae, etc). Another escape from reality I guess. I've fallen asleep with my iPod on low beside me and the songs have played in my dreams before. That was a funny experience, hearing the music in the background of what was going on in the dream. Oh I know I shouldn't, but comedies make me laugh and you need laughter to help with stress. :-/ Huh. I hate wearing socks when I sleep. xD I was doing physical therapy stretches/strengthening techniques at home, but it got to the point where the ankle weights used to strengthen my knee became too much for my ankle to handle/made the pain in my ankle worse. I do them on occasion minus the weights, so it helps stretch the muscles at least. Well the ankle was injured at the same time as my knee, so it's nothing new. It's just been a lesser pain than my knee until this point. In order to keep the knee from hurting, we need to fix my ankle, because now I'm starting to walk oddly to try and ease the stiffness/painful popping in the ankle and that makes the pain in my knee more noticable. I could probably, but I keep forgetting to ask the doctor, and because lots of people abuse pain medicine in America, the better doctors won't give it unless it's truly needed like after a surgery. Ouch! Three times? No fun at all. I'm sorry to hear that. And yes, wishing luck is a way of saying you support someone and hope they feel better/get better soon. You've got the American phrases down! And you ask a lot of questions. razz I don't mind answering though.

I tend to read/listen to music or watch tv before I go to sleep. I actually have arthritis in my knee from the operation, so it aches a lot of the time, especially with the cold of winter. The ankle pops/gets really stiff and hurts really bad. I can't take pain medicine and over the counter stuff doesn't help, so I have to find the least uncomfortable position to fall asleep in. What makes it an uncomfortable position tends to be how sore my knee is or how much my ankle has been popping/hurts from the popping. Sometimes a pillow helps the knee, I can only sleep on my right side or back since it hurts if I sleep on my left side (since that's the side I fell on). So I do a lot of readjusting myself before finding a comfortable position to sleep in. Hm, I have no tips to try and help out your shoulder... Have you tried icing it or using a heating pad before going to sleep? Sometimes icing helps numb the pain in my knee, so I'd suggest trying that first. Try it for about 10 minutes and see if that helps/keeps it relieved enough to allow you to sleep. And you're right, I agree it's good that I'm getting lots of sleep finally. It's gonna suck when I have to go into work this weekend. I have to be there by 10 in the morning and I've been sleeping in until noon or 1 lately. sweatdrop

I think it's just stress. I used to be able to sleep fine before my injury, but it's hard finding a comfortable position in order to fall asleep. Some nights the pain is worse, so I don't sleep as well. That's why in a way, it's okay that I'm sick. I'm getting more sleep than I would if I wasn't. If that makes sense? I would sleep around 4-6 hours a night otherwise. Now I'm getting between 8-12 hours of sleep due to the cold because I'm constantly exhausted. I guess neither is really healthy. But I'm not waking up like I used to before my cold. Maybe only once or twice instead of 10 times like I would if I wasn't sick. :-/

Okay, that made me laugh out loud when you were describing how you thought honey would taste as a child. Maybe the stuff Winnie was eating had a little something extra in it? Haha.

And ew, had those nights as well. I woke up so many times the other night when the power was out. I'd jerk awake a bunch of times for no apparent reason. Waking up so many times can still take a lot out of you and can leave you feeling just as sleepy if not sleepier than you were before you were trying to sleep. I'm sorry. sad Hope it gets better for you soon.

Haha. I love honey! Different flowers that the bees go to means a different flavor. Just experiment I suppose. We have honey farms in the area where there is a variety of different tasting honey that you can sample to see what you like. The tarter one that I sometimes like, comes from black berry blossoms. They also have flavor sticks like root beer/blue berry/not your normal flavored honey. So I guess I'm lucky in that aspect of things. The organic stuff is sweeter if that's what you're looking for.

And boo for being an insomniac. That's how I normally sleep when I'm not sick. Few hours of sleep, no matter how tired I feel I just can't go to sleep. It definitely sucks big time. I know what you're going through. I'm gonna go get some soup for lunch then respond to your pm!

Aw. I've had plenty of those nights as well. And it's just a sore throat that refuses to go away. Constant tiredness. The soreness of my throat comes and goes when I eat something hot or drink tea with honey. That seems to help if only for a few hours. I just need to keep getting those vitamins in me and hopefully I'll be better by next week.

About the only time I get my designated 8 hours of sleep is when I'm sick. xD I slept for 12 hours the other night. The power went out last night so I didn't sleep so well since I was fretting over it. It finally came back on this morning (or I wouldn't be on a computer or have internet. haha). I haven't had a nasty cold in a while either. This is the first one where I felt like crap for more than a week. :-/ It's worse than feeling like crap, if that makes sense. Huddled up in bed most of the time aside from soup/tea with honey.

Wow! You're pretty lucky then if you've only been sick once. I got sick a lot growing up, so I know most of the tricks to feeling better. If you ever need any tips, let me know! Alright. Sleep well!

Everyone needs their sleep! No worries. I woke up with a sore throat once again, had some coffee and honey and that helped some. I've been sleeping a lot and drinking lots of warm fluids/eating soup to try and help. Having lots of vitamins too. It's simply that time of year I suppose. I had my flu shot, but that doesn't prevent other types of illnesses from happening. I have felt worse before, so it's not so bad.

All white too

Whoa

I studied photography for three years.
I originally did black and white which is really interesting, but if you leave it in the chemicals for to long its really bad.
Then i moved to digital and i NEVER Photoshop my work.. i don't believe in it.
