ABOUT CAITHE
Caithe is a firstborn sylvari of the Cycle of the Night and a thief,
notable for being a former member of Destiny's Edge. She is
unusual in that whilst most sylvari are creatures of light, she has
never feared "gazing into the darkness" to seek "truths that others fear."
She was the lover of Faolain. Caithe refused to embrace the Nightmare
as Faolain did, and although they have parted ways, Faolain has
vowed that Caithe will return to her in time. Caithe continues to work
toward the defeat of the Elder Dragons and the
reconciliation of Destiny's Edge.
SYLVARI
The sylvari are a fairly new race introduced to Tyria.
The sylvari are born from the Pale Tree. Sylvari are born into the
world proper with knowledge gleaned from the Dream. They
struggle to balance curiosity with duty, eagerness with
chivalry, and welfare with honor. These noble beings
travel, seeking adventure and pursuing quests.
