My name is Shawn. I am currently unemployed and preparing for the Marine Corps. I often draw realistic art and play piano. I have aspired to become either a musician or an mixed martial arts fighter after I do my 6 years in the military.

Haha, yeah - I feel like I fit in this forum of Gaia more than any other, but I wish there was more activity in GHAL.
No, I don't train any specific style. I train my body to be my tool, which makes anything I do more effective. Over consistent years of daily "training", I can take the average person out in a matter of seconds.
Various "sweet" spot strikes, powerful, body assisted punches that could easily break ribs, and a counter-attack method of striking, while parrying (Think wing chun or JKD)
I'm also enlightened to various joint manipulations, from fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulder blades, knees, hip displacement...etc...
Who knows if I'll ever go professional? I'm still young, only 20 - but I've currently got things in my life to attend to, before seeking my own freedom in the world.
Training should be considered as more of a lifestyle choice. The monks train every day, despite all conditions. It is the consistency, that makes them seem so powerful.
If exposed to what they were each day, you too could keep up -you would be used to it. The best way to go about it, is to plan each day in advance, with some form of exercise in your day, but only ever enough reps to get you 3 or 4 away from failure.

And I weigh between 135 and 140.

I'm pretty lucky, I've got great genetics. Both parents were amazing athletes back in the day and all that..
I've got small legs for a guy, but I try to keep them fairly toned, so they don't look so bad. Upper body is my advantage.

Really? I would love to spar with a quick witted opponent like yourself.
I had to self learn my kicks, and I've pulled some uncomfortable muscles a few times - Heck, was worth it.
