Hello and welcome to Gaia! Beware of those who pretend to be an administrator or other such nonsense just to get your password so they can steal everything you have. I suggest that you save up until you get 500 gold, then go to the Bank and buy a trading pass. A trading pass lets you trade with other members. After that, save up to 1000 gold and buy a vending pass from the bank. That way, you can use the Marketplace and make gold off of buying and selling merchandise. If you play it well you can make a lot of gold. Make sure you do your Daily Chances every day to get free items and gold, as well as tokens which can be used in the Slots. You get Daily Chances by clicking the Daily Chance window available on each of the six headers at the top of the window (Home, My Gaia, Community, Games, World, and GStore). Posting in any thread in the Forums, voting in any thread in the Forums that has a poll going on, and commenting in any Gaian's profile will also give you gold.



I also suggest that you play Jigsaw for gold and run around in Towns bumping rocks and trees for a little gold. If you buy a garden shovel from Barton Flowershoppe for 200 gold you can dig up flowers in Towns, and if you buy a bug catching net from The Ole Fishing Hole for 200 gold you can catch bugs. You can also buy a basic fishing rod from The Ole Fishing Hole for 100 gold if you want to go Fishing and it obviously sells various baits for a fishing rod too. If you need help with finding a shop item or if you want to fiddle with a dream avatar creator, use Tektek, it's a very helpful site.
