Oh, sweet ! I've seen some of the custom stuff in passing and man, they can do some crazy stuff with that. Do you have to like mod it or is it pretty easy to access? I just went to see how much it was and omg is sims 4 free?? eek

...I gotta tell ya, responding on my phone is such a pain lol. Accidentally closed out the tab. Again. So laptop it is! Any hoot, hopefully what I was typing didn't get sent somehow. But, I have been prescribed muscle relaxers and recommended melatonin by the different specialists I saw. Nothing worked for a long period.

Glad the dumpling were great! I was a big fan of Groupon back in the day, but then I stopped using it. Started using it again earlier this year and stopped again. I found some neat restaurants and deals!

I really really REALLY need to get back to doing my nightly stretches. I use an app called "7 Minute Workout" and it has a variety of programs. I'm going to start using the app again, tonight. scream I should definitely go to another Dollar Tree, lol. I've been to some locations where it was amazing. Fully stocked, great products, etc. But, it's ok. I didn't need much anyways.

End of the year crunch is always hectic. Idk if you get folks breathing down your neck because they have deadlines and they try to rush you. I hate that. Already happening to me now, oof.

I have insomnia. Even if I get more than 5 hours of sleep it's not restful/quality sleep. So I feel like crap, oof!

Ooh. A steamboat restaurant? Neat! I haven't been to a beach in years. Doesn't help that I don't own a car either. Also, good idea about going to a recreation center on the weekends. I know a few that's close to me. I'm going to check out the times the centers are open.

It's hard to keep up a routine, but we do our best! I was in a few fitness classes, but it was a struggle getting to them because they started at around 6-7pm and I did not like being out so late. One instructor was lowkey cruel. Liked to mock you if you didn't keep up with the rest of the class. What a jerk! I keep seeing this walking pad on tiktok. Looks interesting. Thoughts on yoga? I have an app I use (....well haven't used it in months. Don't tell 😭).

My weekend was uneventful. Did go to Dollar Tree today, but the store was like...barren. Might need to find another one? But that location is the easiest to get to via public transportation.

It's so hard to actually get good sleep. Sigh.

Any weekend plans? I'm trying (once again) to put together some sort of workout routine. I would like to attend a class at a local recreation center. If I can't find a class, I saw a tiktok that said using the treadmill on an incline is a great workout. I'm just so tired after work and in general.

Ah ha, my mom is the shortest in our family and she always has to have me grab stuff off the shelves for her because my brother and s-dad are airheads and stick stuff where she can’t reach.

It’s kinda weird where I live as far as weather. It’s Florida, so it’s *usually* mildly warm in the winter. (Usually a high of 70*F = ~21-ish*C) but it’s the upper part of the state, so not as warm as Miami or even Orlando. We do get the odd cold front that comes through though, so we’ve gotten ice storms every few years, but snow usually melts once the afternoon rolls by.
My b-dad lives in Oklahoma and it *does* get at least one snowstorm a year. There’s not a lot of windbreaks because it’s mostly prairie and that crap is coooooold. (I haven’t gone to my dad’s in 4-years b/c Covid and I’m sort of nervous because it always threatens to snow me in before I leave for the airport.) I’m assuming you live somewhere like Singapore?

I’m going to have to put it in my tbr pile. I need to get something more substantial, I’ve been going through Villainess-Isekais like cotton candy.

I have rode a few a long time ago, but admittedly I’m a bit scared of them. They’re really powerful but anxious, and I’m not the most graceful person to be around something that skittish. (I am also absurdly afraid of “high” places. My knees will knock if I have to get on a step ladder to change a light bulb.) I did have a great uncle that had a horse ranch though and I have a very young cousin who’s actually pretty good at riding barrel races. She’s like 6 or 7 now and she’s won a couple of belt buckles. My dad actually still lives over there and every few years, they’ll raise a few cows. But like Silver pointed it out, cattle ranching can be touch and go, so I don’t think he’s raising any right now.

I did start on that one! I need to bring it back into my to-be-read pile; I think I caught up with the e-book volumes they had out at the time and then forgot it when other stuff popped up. Story of my life. sweatdrop

Yes! That’s the way I meant it! And I didn’t realize it until I I just re-looked at it right now, the panels on the page rarely tilt for action and there’s a lot of white gutter space, so that adds to the stiff feeling. (Which is admittedly, very appropriate for the tone Mori was going for.)

Silver Spoons was great. I grew up in Oklahoma, so while I didn’t live on a farm, the kids’ lifestyle was very familiar to me, but at the same time, I still learned a lot.
And if you like that sort of edutainment manga, The Knight Blooms Behind Castle Walls is a nice little 3-volume series. For one with a bit of a horror bent, there’s The Ghost and The Lady about Florence Nightingale and the Crimean War.

Witch Hat is fantastic and it also has a spin-off Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen, which is a lot like Sweetness & Lightning.
Apothecary Diaries is more of a detective series and while it’s a bit of a mid-tempo pace, it’s really good at the gathering clues/revealing the deductions in a timely manner, which can be hard to pull-off when the writer is worrying about a weekly format versus a tankobon.
Yes, the one I mean is the one about the maid. 3nodding The author put a lot of research into it and while I haven’t seen the anime, the manga is neat just for the social expectations of the time.
It’s very restrained, but in a British sort of way, if you get my drift?

Absolutely! I thought about completing an errand after work today, but I'm already exhausted. Might just nap after. I've been given the side-eye before, because my weekend answers tend to be the same. Either errands or rest. Just like you mentioned, getting to do anything else on the weekends is a bonus.

You definitely deserve to take it easy this weekend. Hope you get yourself a little treat too! Rest up!! ｡^‿^｡

The Tumblr purge happened when Yahoo bought Tumblr and basically run it to the ground. New rules and a whole bunch of nonsense. I think it's gotten somewhat back to normal in recent years. I liked Fire Force, but the unnecessary fan service was so irritating and blatant. Certain series you watch once, nod your head then move on. Lol.

Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend. I'm going to be semi busy on Saturday, but I hope I'll be able to at least watch one movie on Sunday? If not, rest is always good. emotion_zzz

The romance is excellent. Yeah, we got the rivals competing on both sides of the aisle, but it’s nice and refreshing because it kind of goes against the grain of the heroes just “getting” the “win”. It takes work to get to the lovey-covey stuff and it’s about enjoying the little quiet moments with your partner.

Ohh, I’m so into all of the shojo-isekai-got turned into the villainess junk right now. It’s like freaking cotton candy.
But I really like Witch Hat Atelier and The Apothecary Diaries at the moment too. And I just finished Emma last week.

I got into it last August-ish. I saw a 3D paper puzzle on one of my merch sites that had an image of Momo and Okarun on it and it caught my attention enough to look up the series.

I think he had a one-shot about a romance involving a girl and her mycologist boyfriend. I think I remember reading it; it was cute and fluffy.
But he was an assistant on Chainsaw Man for quite a while. (I haven’t gotten into it for some reason.) I think the page of the bisected astronauts definitely has his fingerprints on it.

I was mid-typing my response and accidentally closed the tab. (＃ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ Thanks phone...anyways! I watch an anime series if it piques my interest and if the series is boring, I give it 3 episodes then drop it. I used to get recommendations from Tumblr, but then the great Tumblr purge happened, and a lot of people I followed left the site or got banned. :/

Tiktok is great for laughs. Right now, I'm a big fan of the "with this treasure I summon" meme regarding Megumi. 🤣 I am surprised by what has been happening in the JJK manga so far. Gege has no favorites/no-one is safe! D-Gray Man is still ongoing last I checked? I was an anime only, watcher. Same with Black Butler.

I used to watch The Prince of Tennis and Zatch Bell in my younger days...and also when I actually used to watch TV. Shout out to Toonami/Adult Swim. Because I don't watch TV as much, I use my laptop.
