Okay, the more you play jiggsaw, I've found, the less gold you get. Try another difficulty setting, or even another game. They do this, (at least they do on t=other sites) to prevent people adept at puzzles from gaining an unfair advantage.

It's also possible that you pressed the shuffle button, which does not earn you as much gold.

Or that you took longer, which also takes off gold.
