I go to a Hawaiian school, which only makes sense, since I live in Hawai'i. I hate people who actually think surfing was invented in California. If you're wondering if those kinds of people are actually out there, I'd like to confirm it for you. Watch yourselves.
I love Harry Potter. I'll try not to spoil it for you, but rerally, if you haven't already read it, you're never going to .

I really regret that Lupin and Tonks had to die. Mad-Eye and Hedwig were sad, too. But, really, Harry should've stayed dead.

I was really sad that Lupin and Tonks died. They finally had a kid and BOOM, dead. I almost cried when Fred died, too. But hedwig was awesome. I just have one thing to say about that part though.

She died, Harry was like, "OH NO HEDWIG WHE CAN'T BE GONE!! AAH!!" And then the next page he practically forgot about her.

Oh and have you read the Percy Jacson and the Olympians series? I started reading it a couple of days ago and immedietally got hooked. REALLY hooked.

I'd just like to point out that, yes, I know they're not native. However, as a student in Hawaii, you should also know that they've been used in Hawaii since the 1800s, are associated very closely with the average image of Hawaii, and Hawaii itself uses both to help propogate the tourism industry. So instead of criticizing and calling it a "nice try, but really," why not actually point out what might help resemble a traditional Hawaiian image? Because really, I haven't seen any Gaian items that represent a traditional Kapa skirt or anything else of the like.
