Yep. You can specialize in Death magic as a Mage. But they also have a full class dedicated to it in the expansion stuff.
I don't own a PS3. xD;

I liked that DND had Necromancers and the undead, but they limit the possibilities too much for it to really stand out.
I've never touched Diablo before. Thought about it but I don't PC game much.
