They're like five ounces, it's like holding a handful of cotton balls!
Now my nephew is getting used to bigger pets, like the pupper. He still isn't completely comfortable around Blake, but he has learned that he can just tell him to Sit, and pets his tail.

We got the short-haired hamster as a baby too. <3
We even met his momma at the store, and while she was a sweetie, my young nephew fell in love with Everette, even cradling the little hammie in his hands, beforehand he was uncomfortable with animals smaller than his ratties.

The colour doesn't transfer, but on my panda hamster's dark patches of fur, he does become speckled with the grains that haven't been brushed out yet~

Yep yep! Beach sand is good to use in aquariums, whether it's for your fishies or your scaly pets.
In the toy section of stores like Wal-mart there's coloured play sand, like for use in those tabletop activities stations for toddlers, we buy that and just bake it beforehand for the hamsters to clean themselves off in, right now they're bathing in purple sand.

Oh yes, it kills off any bacteria, and in beach sand, any microscopic life that'd contaminate the container/aquarium.
You just sift it, and spread out on a baking sheet, baking it at 150c for about 45 minutes.
Kids are pretty cute in general~

Oh yessum~ My hammies take sand baths in crayola colour sand, I just bake and cool a batch beforehand to make sure it's sanitized.
He was watching YT videos, and while on a video with a momma and her baby hammies, the owners also showed their chinchilla looking in on the litter, so my nephew was like "Aawww. Mommy hamster, baby hamster, grandma hamster!"

I either want a chinchilla come spring, or a pair of guinea pigs, I'm a sucker for rodents in general.

My youngest nephew thinks chinchillas are elderly hamsters, so if I did get one, I'd name her nana, where'd a boy would be pop-pop.
