Sounds yummy! I may try something like those with some flax seed or chia seeds. (A no bake recipe) i'm always looking for breakfast with an emphasis on f-a-s-t.

I finally baked cookies. I made too sweet for my taste pumpkin bars and opted to omit the icing. I think I will reduce the sweetener to half and if it isn't sweet enough, add the icing. yum_chocchip

There are healthy breads in the grocer' s freezer. It's more expensive but, there is no waste if you keep it frozen.

I haven't baked the cookies - bread only. It was tasty but, I think I will try to pre-cook the cracked wheat next time. I nearly broke a tooth chewing on it! The previous recipe in my book instructs to do it. The recipe I baked uses buttermilk. It has better flavor I think. I'm comfortable with adapting recipes (I do it often). I swap healthy ingredients for bad. It's mostly why I bother to bake at all. I don't want to give up bakery goods. biggrin on another note, it's snowing again! During rush hour, it gets messy in Chicago. >.<

Mid-week at 55/60 below zero degrees on yesterday's news. That happens more often than you'd think. Back in the 1980's the temps dropped to over 300 below zero degrees. It ruined my ski trip at the Playboy club. ⛷keep a blanket in your car and stay warm Cat.

Oatmeal chews and wheat bread with wheat germ and cracked wheat. I haven't tried it yet and i'm trying to test all of the recipes. There's a brownie recipe for the slow cooker I may try too. If you can drink at your desk, try coffee with cocoa, dry milk and Stevia. It will warm you. ☕🍫

It's really cold here too. (Below zero degrees with the wind chill) my feet get cold and I shove them under a blanket. This weather is going to be around for a while too. 😝 Spring is only a couple months off. 😊 Do you have any plans for the weekend? I'm thinking laundry and baking to warm the house I keep my thermostat under 60.

I'm glad you got to see the eclipse Cat. Chicago had more snow and clouds. About 15 years ago, I saw a harvest moon. It looked like a sunset in bright orange and yellow. It was low in the sky, on the horizon. We were roasting marshmallows at a friends' farm.
