The first sounds very interesting! Do you plan to give your characters very complicated (in a good, interesting way, I mean) to explain why they ended up in a prison rather than passing on to an afterlife? Or do you plan on making it more of a thriller? Please do message me with more!
Your other idea is a good one as well, especially since in ties in to what you have already been writing about and researching. Do you think you might connect the stories, even if it is something as simple as setting them in the same universe/time period or briefly mentioning a character from one of the stories in the other story?

Practical move, definitely. And your happy with the way things are, so everything is just fine smile . I think people get too caught up in the happy moments sometimes, and then move to quickly/make rash decisions. You're both being very practical about everything.

Funny how we get used to things like scents, thus causing us to not even realize the scent is around. I'm glad things are working out so far, and that he's being helpful (not that I doubted he would be smile ).

Wow, that is quite a move, but a very good one. It will be good to see how it effects your relationship (if it even does at all). Plus it will be good to see if you can indeed live together, especially if you both feel you want to make the relationship more serious as time goes on. Plus, it sounds like a good move for James. I'm sure he needed to get out of the environment he was in.
I agree with the advice other people have given you about not posting too much of your story--at least until you can get a copyright. You are working very hard on it, doing all the research, and you deserve the credit for it. Unfortunately there are people out there who will take your work and pass it off as their own.
I'm so glad to hear you are researching your subject matter, too. There have been books that I have read that, while still good works, have not been researched. Either they bypass the greater detail of the subject matter or just give basic details that are easily found/common knowledge. I love it when, at the end of the book, I am left wanting to learn more, and when the author leaves a note that says where you can find out more.
I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get a call yet. Is it possible that they could still call, or did they say they would contact you by a certain time? It can be disheartening, but I'm glad to hear that you've kept trying! As always, I wish you luck!

Avon can be iffy. My mom sold it quite a while ago (she hasn't for 14 years not). When she first started in the 80's, her sales were quite good, she had several customers (I'd say over 50), and it was a decent way to earn some extra money. Later, she took on a parttime job, and her sales were still good, but things were started to decline a bit. By '95 and '96, several people had stopped ordering, moved away, passed away (she had quite a few elderly customers), and so on. Several other sellers who had started around the same time she did had seen declines, as well. At that point, she was down to maybe 6 (10 on a good day) people who ordered, and it just wasn't worth her time. Her job had become a fulltime position by that point, anyway. I don't want to tell you what to do, and it might be worth trying if all else fails. On the other hand, if you really don't want to do it, then you shouldn't (no amount of money is worth doing something you really don't like, in my opinion). I just want you to be prepared for several scenarios: it might really pay off, but it might not bring a great deal of money, either.
Good for James! Promotions are always nice! I hope you get the job you had an interview for so that the two of you will have something else to celebrate!

The Penguin situation makes more sense now that I know the friend who talked to you was his friend first. Like you, I hope he is able to find someone so that he can move on and find happiness in the relationship aspect of his life.

Good for you! I am very glad to hear of your conversation with James, and that he is supporting and encouraging your endeavors! That is so important in any relationship, and I believe that shows he really cares. I wish you the best of luck with your job interview, though it is good to know that if all else fails, you should be able to get something from Avon.
What is the book about that you are writing? I absolutely love to read, though sometimes it is fun to write something yourself (especially if you aren't completely satisfied with what you just read--make your own story and ending, right).
I'm glad to know that Penguin didn't talk to your friend knowing that what he said would come back to you. It's good to know that he is having good things happen to him, as well. It's nice when everyone can have some sort of happiness!

Ugh, that all must be confusing and stressful for you! I'm so sorry to hear you're going through all of this!
What exactly does James mean by "seeing a lot of potential in you that you are doing nothing about?" Does he mean the job situation specifically? I would say you are doing all you can about that...if people won't hire you, there isn't anything you can do about it but keep trying. If that is indeed what he means, that seems like a lot of pressure to be putting on you. On the other hand, he appears to have a lot of confidence in you and what you can accomplish, which is good. The important thing is that he is giving you support.
I'm glad he was honest with you about the ex situation. Hopefully he'll make a decision soon, and not string either of you along, and, I hope, that eventually he finds, in his heart, that he belongs with you.
Penguin...oh, boy...he really needs to move on...and stop talking to other people about his feelings for you. I really have to wonder if he is trying to make you feel guilty. Did he know that the friend he spoke to would contact you with that information? Is that why he said those things to this friend? That might not be the case at all, but it still has me wondering...

As long as you are trying your best, that's what matters. Things will turn out well in the end. How nice to have someone to wake up to--someone who makes you happy and whom you make happy in return! That makes me very happy for both of you!
For some reason, I can't see James' picture sad . Is it still there and just not showing up for me?
Hopefully, one or more of those applications will prove to be fruitful. All you can do is keep applying and hold on to the hope, right? I'm still keeping those fingers crossed wink .
