Horst snorted. "Please, he's fine. I mean, even as many times as he hits the black book market, he's still got a fortune left over."
Johannes nodded, albeit a bit reluctantly. "Yes, I've made certain investments... I'm fine."

"Well--" Horst snapped as Johannes suddenly stumbled across his statement. "N-no? I'm fine..."
He shook his head, rubbing at a temple. "No... Just do what you will with it. Set yourself up."

Cabal pulled a pen out of his vest, scratching the location on the back of the notes he had corrected.
"If my timing isn't off, that's where Salghido's final hoard should be. She was moving it around in her last days."

"Ah, well... I... may have an idea where it's at?"
Horst looked at Johannes, surprised he even volunteered the information.
"You. You know where a dragon's hoard is? How in the world did you find that out?"
The look Johannes gave his brother was pure "Stop talking. Now."
"A... a friend vouchsafed it's location to me. Gold, gems, and books--" "Oh, now I see."
Cabal scowled. "Vanity spells. Her cousin's. But the point is, she could use those to pursue a new career, like you suggested."

"Yes, because you are still taking care of your menagerie and your late cousin's estate are you not?" Cabal questioned her.
"Now that what's-his-face is a charcoal smudge and Salghido's undoubtedly hoarding in Hell--"
As the realization hit him, Johannes sat up straighter, tapping his hand against his chin.
"Miss Rhea... the location of Salghido's hoard was never revealed to you, was it?"

"You never know until you try... and Hey!" Horst snapped his fingers, making Johannes jump slightly.
"You see a lot of weird things... Maybe you should take photographs, send it into a few rags. Say it's a fake and that you want to try your hand at the biz."

Johannes rolled his eyes as Horst continued. "I mean, you like animals... Why not try to be a vet's assistant or a nature photographer?"

"Oh please," Cabal snarled. "You never spent more than 3 months in one career or another."
"Yes, and I definitely know which fields I don't like and I know what I'm good at," he pointed out.

"Made a time allowance for exploring whatever's bothering you and then schedule time for work," he replied, swatting at Horst.
"Or maybe it's burn out?"
Cabal took great offense at the suggestion, giving his brother an injured glance.
"That's ridiculous... She does great work as a necromancer, she's not burnt out... Are you?"

Cabal glared at his brother, who smirked and waved at Rhea.

He flipped the pages, showing her red correction marks.
"What's been distracting you?"
