Chinese opera...it's so unlike any other operas/operettas I listen to regularly, I just can't accustom myself to the sound. *headdesk* To watch, the Peking operas are, of course, amazing in precision and performance! But I can't keep up, and look on thinking, "What, what? What?" All the paints symbolizing...things...and... You see the problem. Much easier with say, Italian. The longer the hem and the wider the hoop, the more noble the character is! At this moment actually, I'm listening to Totale Finsternis from Tanz der Vampire. Not an opera and I've never seen it live in any language, but at least with this I can follow along with my minimal knowledge of the German language and the clear-cut European hierarchy in form.

But enough of my babbling. So you're a drama student! Now that's bloody fascinating. So we've established LI's region of musical/opera-likes; what about you?

Ah, thank you. =D I got it from smooshing together the surnames of these two West End actresses I adore; Kerry Ellis and Dianne Pilkington. Ellis + Pilkington = Ellington! Whoot. xD The women are goddesses of theatre. *bows*
