When I was in High School, I had a Chinese friend. One day, I went to her house for the afternoon and when I came back, my mother was REALLY mad at me. She started asking me what I was doing at my friends house and then she was screaming at me that she just got a phone call from a Chinese-sounding person saying that I had kicked their dog. She was heaping on the punishments, I had to do all these chores and I would be grounded, etc... I kept telling her that it was fake, that it was an internet joke, but she wouldn't believe me. Finally, I downloaded a sound file of that phone call and played it for her. It was exactly what she had been told on the phone.

Aaah, good times.
