1. Alright, it can be. It's debatable. It's all about what one perceives as character, really. I never thought it as such, but I can see how you can make an argument for that. I still think it's ignorant to judge someone on their sexual orientation, however.

2. Yeah, you did imply that. You commented on my profile to tell me that Arabs don't kill homosexuals in the streets and you left me with a piece of advice: "prejudice is a b***h and it might get you killed." That certainly sounds like you were implying that I believed that homosexuals are killed in the streets in Arab countries and that I am prejudiced.

Look, I looked it up, and you're right: Iran is technically not Arab. I apologize for that. I also apologize because you're right: in Jordan, you wouldn't be killed for your homosexuality (at least, not by the government).

When someone implies that I'm prejudiced, I won't just "shut up." I'm going to defend myself and make my case because I believe you misunderstood me.

If you don't want to read it, then don't. The reason you say you won't reply, though, is because you know that you misunderstood me and wrongly thought I was prejudiced. Listen, I admit I was wrong on some things, like the Government of Jordan's stance on homosexuality and Iran being an Arab nation. Hell, maybe you were just giving me advice and it wasn't intended to be hostile; and if so, then I'm sorry for replying in a hostile manner. I don't have anything against Arabs and I try very hard not to generalize/stereotype. So, you don't have to read or reply to this, but I'm sending it anyway.

Oh, yeah, and speaking of prejudice, you sound like you have a dislike for homosexuality yourself. So, look who's talking. Honestly, if you dislike someone because they like the same sex, you should be ashamed. If you're going to dislike someone, dislike them for their character, not their sexual orientation.

What the ********? Way to completely overreact. Did I ever once say that all Arabs hate gay people? I don't believe I did. It's just that you hear about people being executed for homosexuality in countries like Iran all the time. That doesn't mean that all Arabs hate gay people; of course not!

Yeah, you know what else could get you killed? Being really defensive and misinterpreting others' words. Might wanna work on that. wink

I've only been to Karak once when I was a little kid, my aunt lives there but I'm not too close with my dad's side of the family, and I do understand rough jordanian because xD I have a lot of guy friends.. and they all speak with a g so I can't speak normal around them or I'll get made fun of xD

Kind of like lebanese people speak, but not so much .-. it's like there are so many accents in Jordan it's not funny, I guess it's a Jordanian accent in Amman? Because other places around Jordan have more rough accents..

I'm Jordanian, a small part of me is spanish though, but I didn't use to mix well with the society here till recently. I rarely speak arabic because English is my first language and it just comes easier for me, so recently when I started speaking arabic and writing stuff in my status in arabic my friends would go like ".. since when do you speak arabic? o.o"
