I'm the same way. I fall into the world of the book I'm reading or movie I'm watching. Books are wonderful because you can imagine everything, add your own details.

I wasn't sick I just hadn't been here on the site for ...forever. Life kept me from sitting and taking a few minutes a day to relax and play for a bit. I just decided I had to make more of an effort, so here I am. I deserve that don't I (-: ?

I'm going to look for those dvds. I love a good movie as much as a good book. Right now I'm reading a fluffy romance novel but Dan Brown's new book is next. I've already bought it. Hope it's as good as davinci code and angels and demons.

I love to read but King and Koontz and writers of that genre thier stories freak me out. I'm a wuss about that stuff, I can't even watch a horror movie. I like fantasy stuff, vamps, witches...I love period pieces and novels full of information like DaVinci Code.

Not too much here.I hope you stay in good shape.That's a shame there is trouble so close to home.We have had some water in the cellar in the past but we have never flooded upstairs.It must be very scary and heartbreaking and financially devastating to be flooded out of your home.

I have gotten some unwanted popups and even a .pdf notifier recently on Gaia, so I did some research.

Here is what GAIA says about its ads:

"A primer on internet advertising or why saying "the vertical banner on the forum landing page is inappropriate" is not sufficient for us to track down the ad

I'll try to keep it short and sweet, so we can get to the "how to report" part:

1. Gaia does not deal with advertisers directly. Gaia uses an agency that advertises on Gaia's pages. Currently, the ad agencies are DoubleClick and Google.
2. The ads don't go through Gaia, but are downloaded directly to your computer from the ad agency, preventing Gaia from viewing the ads on your computer.
3. Ad agencies themselves sell thousands of different ads at any given moment, and do not screen them either. In fact, they, too, work with ad sales agencies, and usually serve ads from other companies."

You can find all this in the Report Inappropriate Ads on Gaia | Forum | Gaia Online. And, there is more. The procedure for reporting is much too complicated to bother with.

Gaia does not even know what ads are running on Gaiaonline. Some of the ads would be troubling to parents and some of them can cause computer problems and/or carry spyware, perhaps worse.

If you have been having trouble with ads and popups on Gaia, it is worth doing some research in that Forum.
