Far away, there was the Gaia Galactics. Sworn to protecting the universe and all it's people from any danger that came. There was no real academy, it's more a learn while on the job type of situation. So it's no surprise when it takes forever for new recruits to be promoted. No one is really there to guide them, they get the job done though. There suddenly a problem on the Galactic's home planet Gaia, the problem was highly animated. Literally. Well, the higher ups didn't have time to deal with it due to other problems, so they sent the new recruits to rid Gaia of the problem. They were all part of a special mission now, zOMG as some had labeled it. They weren't warned about what lied ahead and had no direction as to which was ahead. They had a little help, the Barton Regulars there to give information and supplies along with random natives. As terrible as it all sounded the reward was power and riches. That is exactly what lured in new recruits, and one recruit in particular is the center of this story. Earning the name of Junior Cadet for being a very mediocre fighter and healer, but highly dedicated. Soon the money didn't make much of a difference to this Junior Cadet, the power was enough.
