About

I suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia).

If you have it you know how crippling it is. I'm right along with you. Please know you're not the only one but I'm sure it feels like it when your family and friends don't understand. Mine don't. And in a way I don't want them to because if they did they would be just as terrified as I am (and as you are) and would never want this disease for them. Living each day is a constant struggle, a tug of war within ourselves. We constantly wonder why we are this way and we feel we are the true 'freaks' in society. We can't talk. We can't make eye contact. We can't go out. We can't even answer the phone.

Whywhywhywhywhy? Why us?

I'm still trying to find the answer.
