Row 1: Three chains.
- Chain three.
- Chain once more and join with first chain with slip stitch to make a loop.
Row 2: Six double stitches.
- Chain two, double stitch into loop five times
- Join to first "double stitch" with slip stitch.
Row 3: Twelve double stitches.
- Chain two, yarn over double stitch into base slip stitch.
- Yarn over double stitch twice into each of the previous row's double stitches (x11)
- Join to first "double stitch" with slip stitch.
Row 4: Twelve single stitches.
- Yarn over single stitch into each double stitch in the previous row (x11).
- Slip stitch to join with previous row's slip stitch.
Row 5: Twenty-four double stitches.
- Chain two, yarn over double stitch into base slip stitch.
- Yarn over double stitch twice into each of the previous row's single stitches (x23)
- Join to first "double stitch" with slip stitch.
Row 6: Twenty-four single stitches.
- Yarn over single stitch into each double stitch in the previous row (x23).
- Slip stitch to join with previous row's slip stitch.
Row 7: Forty-eight double stitches.
- Chain two, yarn over double stitch into base slip stitch.
