I have been on Gaia since 10/22/2004 under the name Damiana Abraxas!

I created this profile myself. The background image was created by me using an image of curtains found on Google. The code was pieced together from random code tutorials and messed with by yours truly until it looked cool.

You want to know a bit about me? Well... I'm really shy (yes, even on the internet) and have a hard time meeting people. Once I feel comfortable with you, however, I am very open and friendly.

I am 25 years old and live in the Pacific Northwest. I enjoy all sorts of creative things such as: writing, photography, singing, and thinking. I feel that I think too much sometimes, which makes my life a bit more complicated than usual. I enjoy the "darker" side of life. I am pretty much noctunal and have been so for a year now. The night is my sanctuary. It is dark and soothing, and seems to inspire me more than anything.

Anyway, If you'd like to know more, ask. I'm very open-minded and will respect others opinions. I expect that you will respect mine as well, for everyone has the right to their own views. Just because you don't agree with me does not mean that either of us is wrong, we just see things differently.

Heh, it was a compliment. 'Sick' is some random slang word that I picked up from who knows where, and it basically means "insanely, unbelievably awesome." I said this in referance to that avatar that you had earlier today with the Liripipe hood, the skull, and that little forest thing. (No, I'm not stalking you. Jeez, you read that thing, too? A lot of people have been reading my About Me as of late. You're about the 6th person who has read it so far. And trust me, that's a very long number considering the abnormal length of my About Me. I suppose you could say I enjoy talking about myself, but if you really look, I don't have much at all. Same goes for comments. I say very little inside a lot of text. Whether that's a gift or a curse, who knows.

Don't worry about the shy thing. I'm immensely shy as well. You probably can't tell, though. I talk so much, you'd think I was the super outgoing type. I'm glad I found another emote lover! Most people think that the emotes are meant strictly for n00bs, and I personally think that they don't know what they're missing. Sarcasm is very hard to distinguish from seriousness without an emote rolling it's eyes or laughing to show it as such. The only time I don't use emotes frequently is in the Towns, and that's only because it's too much of a hassle to open that stupid box that I always can't manage to find. >.<

It's actually more difficult to keep people from misunderstanding you on the internet than in real life. It all comes down to tone. In real life, you can insert a sarcastic tone to your words. Online, you can't do that. So we use italics to emphasize words and emotes to put the general tone there. But from what I've gathered, not many people understand that italics are for emphasis, so emotes are the more affective of the two. Nope, your comment was [i]definitely[/i] not long and certainly not pointless. I wasn't lying in my About Me when I said I've exchanged comment that are pages upon pages worth of text when pasted on Microsoft. When people talk to me, I give them so much to respond with that they're usually giving me the longest comment they could ever think about giving to someone on their second or third comment to me. And the more they give me, the more I give them, which in turn gives them more, which gives me more, and so on until they're writing comments longer than a college research paper. Really, go ahead and track down one of the longer comments and paste it onto Microsoft. You will be amazed. @.@

Thank you! When I first made this avi, I couldn't believe I had actually made something decent with pink in it. Not that I'm one of those "OMGZ I HATE PINK BLACK 4EVA" people, but I've always had trouble with the color pink. Almost as bad as black and gold. (Which, incidentally, is my favorite color combo) What I really like about it is how the pink looks in contrast with the Masterpiece skin.

I actually put the skin on by accident. I meant to click on something else (Can't remember what), and I clicked the skin instead, and my jaw dropped when I saw how well it turned out. I was originally gonna scrap the idea for this avi because the pink bra and underwear was too close in coloring to my actual skin. The white skin makes it look just right, though.
