About micah

History
After the fall of the Dark Lord, Antonin Dolohov was forced to stand on trail for charges ranging from Death Eater affiliation to murder and cannibalism - his substantial family fortune (and, according to rumors, connections in the Ministry) allowed him to avoid remaining in Azkaban during his lengthy court case, instead spending several years under house arrest. Extensive Ministry wards prevented him from leaving his manor, but he was permitted limited contact with close family friends and a maid; said maid was found murdered and partially cannibalized the night it was announced that Dolohov was guilty, having (sometime in the months before) given birth to Dolohov's child. The infant - healthy and apparently well cared for by Dolohov - was given to Abygale Travers, who followed Dolohov's wishes that the boy be named "Micah" (my-cah.)

Abygale Travers - part of Hermione Granger's Death Eater Rehabilitation program - raised Micah Augustus Dolohov with the fortune left by the Dolohov family, frequently bringing the boy to visit his father in Azkaban prison. Micah grew to become a sensitive, diligent child, and took up the hobby of cooking as his father had (albeit without human flesh.) Flourishing under the guidance of private tutors and Abygale herself, Micah was already familiar with the Hogwarts curriculum when he first attended at eleven (sorted into Gryffindor, much to his own surprise) and immediately began to excel as a student. He also later became involved in Quidditch at his imprisoned father's prompting (Dolohov once captaining the Slytherin team) and thrived as a Chaser. His interest in academics waned considerably after his father's sudden death in his son's third year, Micah preferring to focus on broadening his abilities as a chef and Quidditch player.

Personality
Micah is characterized as being kind and well-rounded, assisting those who ask for his help and remaining socially and physically active while at Hogwarts. He spends much of his time experimenting with his culinary talents in the kitchens, balancing his hobby with frequent Quidditch practices and keeping an Acceptable grade average with Outstandings in his preferred classes (Magical Housekeeping and Charms.) He often treats members of the Gryffindor team with his baked goods, and has catered several Gryffindor celebrations as requested by his classmates.

Micah prefers the company of many over the company of a few. Inheriting his father's impeccable manners, Micah is both polite and engaging in social gatherings, though he is more comfortable as a listener than the center of attention. His closest friends - Hufflepuffs Samantha Hatchel and Hugo Weasley - take up only a fraction of his free time, his relationship with them founded on occasional weekend trips; Scorpius Malfoy, another close friend, does frequent his home, though their friendship is based on family expectations more so than genuine interest in companionship.
