I'd like you to think about your life as it is at the moment. Do you feel somewhat happy with yourself? With your accomplishments? With the relationships you've made? Think carefully. Now- what would happen if you died, right now? Without any warnings, it's all over. Would you feel like your life has meant anything? Would life move on without you? Depressing, I know. But these things happen. Have you been a good person? Parent? Sibling? Lover? Friend? Maybe. Maybe not. But, here it comes- What if someone offered to give you your life back? Another shot at life. Another shot at doing some good. Would you take the opportunity? There are a few catches, though. You're alive, but you don't feel alive. You're still you, but you feel different. You go home, but home doesn't have the same feeling that it always did. You're back with your loved ones, but they have absolutely no idea who you are. Would you be a guardian angel and play behind the scenes? What if you were convinced that you were one of the few in the world who could really make this pitiful place better? So, you've heard the entire offer- would you take it? Would you enter the Half system? Eer!e is the story of 20 star-crossed souls who "agreed" to this and are now "Halves", people who are neither alive nor dead. People who are experiments of science, military weapons, government earmarks. Our tale begins with the one person who stood up and decided that this wasn't right- the person who started the rebellion of the Halves. A fifteen year old girl who was supposed to be the second coming of a royal power that lived ten generations ago. A girl who wasn't supposed to even live; this girl would come to lead an elite group of ten through a series of battles. Battles against fellow Halves, battles against government, battles against religion, battles against their "savior". They were fighting for freedom, like so many others have in the past. Now, I'll ask you one last question. In a world where all fate can be manipulated to beyond our wildest imaginations, how do we know.. what is real?
Aha, I thank you for reading all of that! My name is Kelsey and I'm the pathetic author of this morbid story. =) Eer!e's cast consists of mainly 20 Halves and a whole shitload of normal people, as well. There are like.. 50? Altogether? Oh well. Eer!e, or Eerie, either one works, is a product of my twisted imagination. The genre, according to many people, is Sci-fi. It's also romance, action, horror, thriller, and mystery- if you think about it. It's a story that has changed me, personally, and will really make you think about the worth of your life.
