- She has only one outfit, it being a green, flower-printed, very baggy juban from the 1920's or 30's; long green gloves and socks (loose), and a small metal circlet with an emerald in it. She carries a green uchiwa fan with her during the warm months, and a tiny portable heater during the cold months.

- She's a frog in human form, so she has pointy ears with lime-green hairs coming out of them (to keep heat from escaping), and a tale to help her keep balance on two feet. On her whole upper body there is an intricate green tattoo. The markings change as often as her surroundings change, but they're always reminiscent of swirlies.
Personaliity
- A very outgoing girl, and since she represents the frog community of Québec, really appreciates the world service business Soro and Nan made, so she joined, too! She wakes up at sunrise and falls asleep at sunset, which is usually a very inconvenient thing. Nonetheless, Merl definitely earns her stay at the office and with Zaqiel.
History
- Not long after finally becoming a frog and getting rid of her tadpolish tale, her parents died off trying to escape from trappers. So the King of Frogs appointed her the new representative of Québec, and gave her the power to turn into a human! She lived her days on the edge of a swamp near her birthplace, in a shack that overhung some of the swampyness.
A few years later, some trappers came by. Merl sprung into action and beat the pulp out of them, but they still ran away with some frogs. So, being what she thought was a proper representative, Merl left the swamp in search of the trappers, until finally she had succumb to exhaustion and was found by--guess who?--Nan and Zaqiel! Who were out grocery shopping!
The usual followed, and that was how Merl came to live with Zaqiel, Nan, and Soro!
