Personality: Mitsuko's mother is extremely serious about her occupation, and rarely takes a break from her work, so, as the saying goes, like mother, like daughter, right?
Well, not in this case.
While her mother may be those things, Mitsuko is far from that. Carefree and cheery, she's the kind of person who'd rather be out for a walk in the park, rather than be cooped up in a house or office doing work all day. Mitsuko is generally a nice (but naive) girl, whom's quite the klutz. She has a record as a young child, to have to go to her grandmother everyday, adorning a new injury. Even now, she occasionally goes for a small tumble down the stairs.
She's also still quite the child at heart. With a love for anything pink and fluffy, her room is filled which such items, only with a small, plain white desk in the corner for working on (Her mother and father didn't like the idea of getting a matching, furry, pink desk for her to work on). Her bed is completely covered with plushies, that it's a wonder as to how she can even sleep in the bed. Oddly enough, two plushies that stand out the most are a large, furry spider, and a snake. It's quite obvious that Mitsuko has odd taste.
Don't let this fool you though. Though she IS childish, clumsy, and happy-go-lucky, she's quite serious when it comes to schoolwork. Though she indeed would rather go for a walk, or something of the sort, she forces herself to sit in her room for hours, or at least, until all her homework is done. Determined to become a good doctor, she studies often, to the point where the majority of her grades are A's, other than the occasional 'B' here and there (Usually in the athletic department. Being a clumsy person never did help her there.)
Her mother and father often wish she were more serious. Not only about her schoolwork, but about everything. She's just, too happy and carefree in their eyes but, as much as they tried, their daughter just wouldn't sway. However, they are glad that she does seem to show intrest in the medical buisness as, as their only child, it's likely that Mitsuko will have to take on the family buisness eventually. When she was younger, she'd often play 'doctor', and speak with some of her mother and father's patients. Even now, Mitsuko would visit some of her parent's patients often, many of them now familar faces, and chat with them. She was too old for playing doctor now - these days, she was studying to actually become a real doctor afterall - but they always seemed to be happy to see her again. She was especially good with children though. When they were nervous, because of an illness or operation, she'd be there to try and make them smile, with her (overly) optimistic attitude.
That, however, is how Mitsuko acts while she has company, or friends around. As a child who grew up neglected, Mitsuko dislikes being alone, and often, when she is, memories of her childhood seep back in. It causes her great distress to remember such things, especially since the only person who had even been for her back then, her grandmother, died not too long ago. However, during these times she's alone, she can also do something she loves best - sing. Mitsuko never sings in front of anyone, especially not her parents. Afterall, what would they say? A singing doctor? Certainly in their eyes, there would be no time for such things as 'trivial' and 'pointless' as that.
Mitsuko puts her heart out to singing, and treats it like a favourite hobby, as she knows that she can never pursue a career involving it. With two, respected doctors as parents, it already seems to be comfirmed that she is to take over the buisness when her parents retire. She was born into this fate, where she can't choose who or what she wants to become, but was already assigned such things the moment she was born.
Despite her caring, and optimistic view on things, if someone threatens her family, friends, loved ones, or really anyone, Mitsuko won't hesitate to speak up. She can be a little too bold at these times, though she means well. She also tends to be as stubborn as a mule if defending someone.
History: Due to the fact she was born to two, well-respected doctors, Mitsuko was rarely given much attention as a child. Her parents were always rushing here and there, only occasionally taking a break to eat, before going off to work again.
Mitsuko was quite the neglected child, though her grandmother often gave her the love she needed. It was her grandmother who she sat with every evening, listening to tales about princesses and dragons. It was also her grandmother, who constantly assured her that her parents really did love her but, as doctors, they had to work constantly.
"Why did they have to be doctors, grandma?" She had asked one day. Her grandmother had smiled sympathetically. "Because they want to help people, and they want you to grow up to help people too." Shortly after her grandmother spoke, the child had sighed. That seemed like a reasonable response. Mitsuko had watched her parents diagnose patients once in a while, and pretended that she was the doctor. Sometimes, when her parents left the room, she would actually go up to the patient, and pretend to be a doctor. She'd climb up onto a chair to get to a stethoscope that lay on the table, before shuffling over to the now amused patient, to do 'doctor's work'. It was always fun for her, and when the patient was a child, she often made new friends. Unfortunately, she couldn't see them often - only when their parents brought them in.
Other than her grandmother, she was always alone.
"I'm jealous of the patients, grandma. They always get attention from mother and father - even more than I do." She couldn't help it, she did feel envious. The patients who came to their clinic were often showered with attention by her parents, especially the children, and yet, she felt as if she didn't get any love or attention from her mother and father at all, even though she was their true child.
Mitsuko's eyes had blurred with tears, but she had forced them back, and stood to smile at her grandmother like nothing was wrong - this was a sort of smile she would unknowingly train over the years. The false smile that looked real, to hide anything emotion behind it. Then, she would excuse herself, so she could be alone. It was times like this, that she first began to sing. Sitting in the darkness of her room, Mitsuko usually absentmindedly started to hum and eventually, it'd turn into a tune, and then she'd add words to it. Even years after, she'd do this. Find somewhere where she felt comfortable; a garden, park, or her bedroom for example, and then sing. It usually took her mind off her troubles.
She was always good at hiding her feelings. She didn't want her grandmother to worry about her, so she made herself act cheerful, always wearing a large grin on her face. Though she continued with this throughout the years, it became harder to hide her feelings from others, as her grandmother died days before her first day of high school, leaving her alone. It had all begun, because she didn't want the hurt her grandmother - didn't want to make her worry about such matters. Still, despite the death of someone she loved dearly, Mitsuko found ways to make friends, and support them in times of need, even if she didn't have anyone to do the same for her.

About: The Takara family is one that is constantly busy. With two of the family members as doctors, and one, a potential young doctor-to-be, the family is always busy either working, or studying. Due to this, they rarely ever spend any time together - only occasionally at mealtimes. Even then, something often comes up, which usually leads to both parents of the family to leave. In their eyes, work and education always come first, before everything else.
Even love for their daughter, it seems.
Family Members:
Mother: Mitsuko's mother is generally a nice person, though due to her occupation, she rarely has time to spend at home. She loves her husband and work a great deal, and seems like the ideal mother, if only she paid a little more attention to her own daughter. She's good with children, which seemed to have been passed down to Mitsuko. Mitsuko also inheirited her mother's green eyes.
Father: Far more strict than anyone else in the Takara family, it is Mitsuko's father who enforces the rules, and constantly tells her that education always comes first, before anything else. Extremely serious, he rarely smiles, though this doesn't mean he's totally cold-hearted. He does care for his patients, and when around his patients or others, he speaks with calm politeness in his voice. His hair is the same, sandy, bronze-like color as Mitsuko's.
Grandmother (Deceased): Mitsuko owes much of her courage and love of her parents to her grandmother. As a child, she always felt neglected, but her grandmother was always there to give her the love and support she needed, as well as convince her that, despite the fact they didn't pay much attention to her, her parents DID indeed love her. Her grandmother had been a kind, quiet woman. It hurt Mitsuko greatly when, days before she started highschool, the only person who had ever been there died. Despite this, Mitsuko still loves her Grandmother, and sees her as the only true family she ever had.
Pets:
Alimet: Mitsuko's large husky. The dog is extremely protective and loyal to the Takara family, though spends most of his time with Mitsuko in her room while she's studying, or something of the sort. He's catious around strangers, especially when they happen to be around one of his masters, but he warms up quickly.
Razi: Another pet of Mitsuko's, though Razi is a small, tabby kitten. Like most cats, he's attached to only one person, this person being - of course - Mitsuko. Most of the time, he chooses to ignore others, and prefers to sit and sleep on Mitsuko's bed all day, rather than socialize with others. The only real time he seems alive, is when he's eating, playing with Mitsuko, trying to ignore Alimet, or listening to Mitsuko sing.

 Class 1A
Roka- Roka was one of the first people Mitsuko met, and the first she really spoke about her family to. She considers him a good friend, and tackles him whenever the chance comes around. Mitsuko is very aware of his allergies, and does what she can to keep all signs of pets away from him, including making sure her clothes and mansion rooms are spotless of pet fur at all times, just in case.
Kiyoshi- Though Mitsuko hasn't spoken to him much, she's determined on her own that he seems to be a very polite and friendly person.
Takumi- A good friend, Mitsuko enjoys occasionally poking fun at him, as he does sometimes to her. Like her, he's in class 1A. They were acquainted before high school.
Minori- Mitsuko considers Minori a close friend. As the only other girl in class 1A, she's glad to have a female friend she can talk to. Minori is a extremely sweet person in Mitsuko's eyes, and she hopes to get to know her better.
Class 1B
Miho- A girl that Mitsuko met before school started. She seems to like Miho enough, though we can't quite say the feeling it mutual right now. Nevertheless, Mitsuko hopes to befriend her.
Chihaya- Chiya! Her first friend! The two seem oddly similar in many ways, and it looks like they'll get along just fine.
Class 1D
Miiya- Saw her briefly, when Chiya pointed her out. Thought the girl was adorable.
