I went to go see Ari- hell, why do I keep doing this?- Uotani-san, and tell her that there's no way a relationship between us would work. She started crying, so I spent the rest of the day trying to cheer her up. She had to go to work (still in tears), and I finished some shopping. By the time I'd gotten on my motorcycle, and was heading home, it was dark. Damn, I'd forgotten that it gets dark earlier. And I'd left before Akki woke up, so she was probably frantic with worry over me. I hate doing that to Akki, especially since my being free of the curse is so hard on her.
So, I got in, and, sure enough, Akki was upset. I got 'Akito-slapped', which is a term I coined for when Akki slaps people. I haven't been Akito-slapped in many years, so I'd forgotten how much it hurts. Akki's nails are really sharp, and I've now got parallel furrows down my cheek. Ha'ri-nii bandaged me up, and gave me some medicine for the pain. I can't really complain, though- I didn't even leave so much as a note. Hope Akki likes the present I bought her, though. Haven't shown it to her yet, but I probably will tomorrow.
I'm gonna write it here, and hope that Akki doesn't see it until tomorrow- 'cause I think she found this journal. Oh well, that's all right with me. I like Akki.
I got her a charm bracelet. Though this is a very western tradition, I thought Akki might like one. I've already put charms on it- of all the Juunishi. I have a metal kanji figure that say 'Goddess' for her, and, of course, right next to it is a Rooster.
