Well, this is confusing. I guess I'll start from the beginning. So, I went with Raine to see the excavation of the newly discovered ruins in the Triet Desert. It took hours, but the team from Asgard was finally able to uncover the entrance. Raine and I went in and left the team outside in case it was too dangerous since most of them aren't trained for combat.
Inside was dark and musty, but Raine lit the way with her staff. The whole place felt heavy, and there was unfamiliar, ancient technology that must have dated before the elves left Derris Kharlan. Raine marveled at everything, so I had to drag her along at times. As we entered the deepest chambers of the ruins, we both felt a familiar mana signature... my mana signature.
We kept walking through a twisted hallway that led to a large, decorative room. In the center of the room was a man lying on the floor seemingly injured. We both ran to him and Raine began to heal him with her staff. Somehow, he looked familiar. He was a half-elf like us. He had long silver hair like mine, but it reached his waist, and he wore a dark blue cloak.
When he finally opened his eyes he looked at both of us before smiling weakly at Raine. He said her name and that he was happy to see her again. With that, he lost consciousness. Raine looked puzzled and turned to me. I had a feeling that the person we just helped was an older version of me and that it was my fault he was here. At that moment, I explained to her what happened when I returned from Derris Kharlan and how I accidentally pushed "myself" into a portal and possibly altered the past. Let's just say she was less than pleased that I kept that a secret from her and now my head hurts from being smacked.
I could be wrong. This "version of myself" may not be here because of my mistake, but we won't know for sure until he wakes up. For now, we plan to take him to Iselia to recover while the rest of the team continues excavating the ruins.
