For once, I was actually right! Things didn't get worse for me! Someone ended up finding me tangled in those bushes at Heimdall, and that person was Crowley, the old guy who taught me Meteor Storm. He sneaked me into his house and told the elder I was there. Once the situation was explained, the elder asked to see me and thanked me for saving everyone two years ago. He made it clear, however, that the elves' hatred for half-elves hasn't changed, and Raine and I were the only ones allowed in Heimdall. Even then, we probably wouldn't be receiving a warm welcome. I was annoyed with his attitude, but it was still better treatment than Raine and I received back then. At this point, I was just happy to be out of that labyrinth they call a forest!
When we got back to Crowley's house, he treated my wounds and made me dinner. He's probably the only one here that isn't repulsed by me being a half-elf. As I ate he told me that his apprentice, Ricardo would be coming over soon. Apparently he thought I'd forgotten about my promise to duel him after saving the world. I never forgot, but Heimdall's hatred of half-elves made me reluctant to come back. I wanted to try to make the world more accepting of half-elves first before I returned.
When Ricardo got there he was shocked to see me, and I saw a faint grin for a moment. He quickly replaced it with a frown however and told me I kept him waiting. I rolled my eyes but apologized anyway. After dinner we decided our duel would take place tomorrow afternoon. After having proper sleep and a full stomach, I should be more than ready to handle him.
