She missed him. They had barely spoken the last few days, most of her messages ignored, and the replies she was getting were short, usually one word answers, or emoticons, and generally far in between. Her heart felt so broken, and nothing seemed to distract her. He was done with her yet again it seemed. She sat in her usual place, video games flashing on the screen, but she was unfocused on them, locked inside of her inner turmoil. She jumped when the buzzer for her door suddenly went off. Perhaps a wrong button push? She never had visitors, very few even knew where she lived, and they would usually say they were on their way. A low ball cap, and his head bowed hid his face from her for the most part, all she could see was his slightly scruffy beard. Perhaps he was shy? Nodding at the paperwork as if confirming it was the correct person, the man handed her a decent sized glass vase, lilies nearly overflowing from it.

Her eyes widened in shock at the flower of choice. These definitely were not from her husband. Her eyes fell on a small card tucked within the flowers, her fingers eagerly snatching it up. All it said, was “Surprise.” Confusion filled her again, before she heard a soft chuckle from the delivery man. “Eh?” Her eyes widened in absolute shock as the man looked up, a grin on his face. It was him...
