There was a time when Gaia was a community. It truly united everyone. It was about making friends, having fun, never about money. The gold shops chat bubbles would be updated to what was going on in the story of gaia. They made you feel like it was real, like you were apart of this amazing digital community. Times have changed. Most of the events only ask for money to be donated. Its as if that is all you people care about! Have you forgotten why you made this cite? It wasn't to get rich. It was to bring people together! To combine gaming, manga, and community in a way so that people from allover could come together to experience it! It meant something. And now it doesn't. I feel sorry for the new users who have joined since you corrupted this online world. They never got to experience gaia how it is supposed to be.
I have had accounts here since 2007 ( accounts because I've lost a couple before and this one is new). I have watched gaia change so much lately. It makes me sad. Gaia has become boring. Ever summer, winter, holiday, etc there was a new event that had nothing to do with making money. Anyone remember the Olympics? how about the vampire event before then. They even made an animated mini movie about Louie for it. They have also gotten rid of a lot of the great old features. Including the movie theater. That's right people, gaia used to have a movie theater. You could watch full anime movies, with your avatar sitting in a theater, eating popcorn, candy, and ,making food fights! It was awesome. They did away with a lot of that, then they brought us zOMG. This made up for most of that. I was even one of the users invited to test it out before it was released.I loved it. Without things like that this site is dying. There isn't such a sense of community anymore. Do you care about us gaia, or are we just money machines you just want to suck every cent out of?
