We remember, all the times we had together.
Ok, corny, but I don't care. The days to graduation and the real world are getting closer, and they're taking me kicking and screaming. Lately, I've even been refusing to sign yearbooks, which has been pissing off several of my friends. I know my reasoning is kind of irrational and too mushy, but to me it feels like signing the yearbooks to say good-bye to some of my best friends is like sealing away a contract to never see them again. I can't even really think of what to write to most of them, these 4 years of sharing our lives can't really be summed up on pen and paper to me, at least, not with justice to how I really feel.
But enough of that, it's something I'm going to have to resolve sooner or later, I think while I'm away and out of Las Vegas soon I can have some time to clear my head and think. Earlier this week on Sunday, we celebrated Sophia's 1st birthday. The past week was spent preparing, preparing, preparing. The weekend was of course the most work, mowing the lawn, setting up the backyard, hoping the patio would be in order. Everything came through in the end for the most part, I do like our patio, and now it serves as an easier means of escape from my room in case of a fire or something, hopefully that never happens of course. Saturday night was mostly clean up, making sure the ground was swept, everything was kept clean, so no one got hurt or anything, there would be a lot of kids. We blew up these punching balloons, they're just oversized balloons that have rubber bands tied to them so you can sort of make your own handed paddle ball.
Gift bags, treats, tons of food, the works. Definitely one of the biggest parties I've ever been a part of, considering I wasn't going, I was co-hosting. Sunday was a bit more preparation, and we got the Jumping Jamboree delivered. Those huge castles or animal balloon areas where you can just jump around that parents and adults secretly wish they weren't too old to play in, and teenagers still try to sneak into, but that's another story for later.
When everything was in order, and it was just a matter for guests to arrive, everyone but myself sort of went to head upstairs to get ready. Sophia was having her birthday nap. I finished filling out her birthday card, which Kelly said later was wonderful. I made sure everyone was on their way, Josh and Bailey were shopping for presents for Kelly and Sophia, Sonja was on her way, and I was hoping Tabatha had gotten the invite. Kalen told me he had work until 9, so I told him he could still stop by afterwards if he could.
Sonja called me from the 7-11, so I decided it would be better if I met her there and walked her to my house, she doesn't exactly have the best of luck when it comes to my neighborhood. She showed me the gifts she had gotten Kelly and Sophia, and I got a drink, then we were off. I basically went over how stuff was probably going down, and told her about the huge Cheez-It snack platter, so that won her over. When we went up to my room to set up everything, Josh called and said I wasn't answering the door. I forgot to mention by doorbell doesn't work. Tabatha showed up afterwards, so it was a suprise and a relief she came along, and everyone brought presents, I was so jealous. xd
Oh, this little sentence here is to be included so that I can be reminded of a particular jumping incident, but due to a pact involving said guests, the information is classified. Tabatha has informed me that her documents will include said information, so please see her journal for what you're looking for.
To sum it up, there was a lot of stuff going on, we had a fantastic time, and there's so much I'd like to talk about, but the memories aren't going to disappear, so I'm keeping them to myself. Bleh. Clean up was of course a b***h, we didn't even finish that night, everyone was exhausted.
The next day was school, but I was honestly so tired I slept through my alarm clock and then some. I woke up at 7:21, with school starting at 7, and school being 6-7 miles away. I decided, [******** it, I was tired, I deserved a break. So I did what I usually used to do, I went to the library. I got some studying in, but honestly, I PM'ed people telling them where I was, and messed around for a while. I wrote a little on a whim, and got it printed out.
I bussed it home, went to KC's Subs, and had a bagel sandwich. Went home, parents didn't ask questions, so I slept the rest of the day off. Yeah, that was terribly lazy, but I wanted to have an off day, the weekend had been truly busy. This week has been mostly term papers and last minute homework assignments for grades. Needless to say, GET OFF MY BACK YOU DUMB TEACHERS!
I love you all though. heart
