Def. Of Neglect What would you do,if a Family member was telling ,your daughter that you where neglecting her? When i read the text my sister sent my 13 year old i was so mad i saw red. I have dealt with depression most of my adult life . I am in no way a perfect person. I have loved and cared for my daughter,on my own all her life and her little sister as well.Being a single parent is not easy. You care for, love your children so much. as a single parent. you cook for your kids,wash their clothes, clean up after them, bath them ,Play with them , Read and sing to them, give them all of your attention and all of you.You literally pour your heart and soul into their well being and happiness, until all their happiness and sadness become yours.you give so much to them, do so much for them , That you lose yourself ,forget how to take care of yourself ,And most of the time im fine with that , they are my world. so what i don't understand how my sister could even say that they are being neglected. Yes i need help sometimes. I have no phone, no car, i borrow a neighbors wifi. so yes i need rides to appointments and shopping and things.But why when i get down ,depressed and need help the most, would she say that.I need help yes getting to the doctors, getting my medication,or even to a counselor , help me with theses things dont tell my daughter that the only way to help me is by calling county and having my kids removed that is not helping, if i am that bad off help me get to my appointment's. I am not saying she is wrong in saying i need help,I am saying she has got the wrong idea on what will help
