Sunset In The Country
A sunset in the country can strike one into awe, There’s a feeling of bliss that hangs in the air. An element is present that you cannot draw, It just seems to take away your every care.
A lovely melody the nightingales begin to sing, A peaceful chirping is produced by the crickets. You can almost hear freedom literally ring, A resounding knowledge that this beauty requires no tickets.
The sky is filled with pinks, purples, oranges, and blues, Most of the clouds look like they would make wonderful beds. Far away trees are outlined in magnificent hues, A distant campfire across vast fields creates a numerous array of reds.
Still lingering in the air is the aroma of now asleep flowers, Such as jasmine, honeysuckle, daffodils, and carnations. The taste from nearby berries makes you believe they have supernatural powers, That have spellbound all of God’s creations.
Yes, a sunset in the country is very unique, There’s nothing else in the world quite like it. It leaves no area that one can critique, So I shall stay here forever to listen, and just sit.
