- - - Conceived at the beginning of the 20th century [1900s], Kyun was never privileged with the joys of life. His carrier, or 'mother' as the humans would call it, committed suicide after discovering her pregnant state. Kyun was the unborn offspring of a rape incident, his existence, unwanted.
- - - Like all souls that had the gift of life stripped from them in one way or another, Kyun's soul was given a choice. He could either wait for another opportunity to be born into the human world, or he could give up all rights to be human. He chose the latter. From that point onwards, Kyun became a 'Lifeless', a creature that could no longer obtain a state of 'living'.
- - - Partnered with a mentor, Kyun began his training as a Grim Reaper, guiding newly detached souls away from their earthly bodies and into the afterlife. But being a guide is not his only job. Oh no. He must also learn to pass judgment onto those that have done wrong in their lives, before sending them to face their trials. Having felt like he was never really 'alive', Kyun has no problem labeling a soul that was privileged with life, only to misuse it, as 'guilty'.
- - - A new threat however has arisen. In the human world, collective groups known as 'Grim Hunters' have began capturing and exorcising the Lifeless. Their belief is that without Grim Reapers around, humans would obtain immortality. How foolish these humans are...
- - - Either way, the time has come for Kyun to become a full-fledged Grim Reaper. To do this, he must enter the human world and safely guide 100 souls into the afterlife. What trials await him?
