To the Fans and Haters of Twilight

To the Fans and Haters of Twilight.

"What is Twilight?"

>> Quoted from Wikipedia:

"It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan, who moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. A film adaptation of Twilight was released in 2008. It was a commercial success, grossing more than $382 million worldwide and an additional $157 million from North American DVD sales, as of July 2009."

The Twilight novel series is intended and was directed toward a general audience of teenagers and young adult females. Honestly, these books, movies, manhwa were not intended for manly men. If you think these books are about blood thirsty, malicious vampires, you're in for a surprise. The Twilight series is all in the fantasy/romance genre. If you're into blood sucking vampires and action try looking in another section in the bookstore/movie store. Quit bitching about how girly the book is when you should have looked into it more before selecting it.

"Twilight vampires aren't REAL vampires?"

>> Vampires AREN'T real to begin with. Well, yeah there's vampire bats, cult faggots who drink blood that could have been donated to someone that actually needs it, yadda, yadda. Count Dracula the vampire, isn't real, it's a character in a fictional novel by Bram Stoker. Vlad III the Impaler is mostly commonly known for spreading the "vampire" name, he himself, wasn't a vampire.

Some vampires turn into bats, some vampires have to kill werewolves, some vampires are hideous creatures from hell, some vampires might turn into a goose, who the ******** cares? It's fiction.

Basically. What makes a fictional vampire labeled a vampire (for the most part) is the concept of drinking blood, immortality, and beauty (yes, beauty). Vampires are supposed to be sexually attractive to get close to their mates. In Twilight it's quite obvious that Edward and the Cullen's are portrayed as beautiful. All of the vampires are immortal in Twilight, obviously. There's still ways to kill even a Twilight vampire as seen in the first book/movie.

Why don't the Cullen's attack humans for blood? Because that particular family is a bunch of "goody-two-shoes" they're allies with the humans (and even werewolves) and prefer drinking the unsatisfying blood of an animal than knock off a human. THEY DO however have issues with this concept, it isn't easy for the Cullen's to live on animal blood they do crave human blood. Jasper, the youngest/newly recruited of the Cullen's is commonly found sniffing around Bella, and actually tries to get at her at some point.

"Why do they glitter? That's stupid."

>> Opinions. Opinions. Stephanie Meyer obviously wanted something beautiful to become of her characters, instead of something ugly. I, myself, think it's quite silly, but it's easily looked past upon.

"It's horribly written."

>> Stephen King:
"The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good,"

I've seen books written even worse. Twilight was very easy to understand, and yes, even had a flowing easy to understand plot-line. Yes, there are better writers out there, I am in no way saying these books were a God send. Everyone has different opinions and interests.

"Is there really a Twilight manga?"

>> Yes. Well, technically it's a manhwa, Korean term for comics, but same s**t different pile. The graphic novel is done by Young Kim It's going to be published by Yen Press.

"Why are all the fans retarded?"

>> This goes for anything mainstream. ANYTHING. Even Harry Potter has a ******** annoying fan base, fan girls squealing in theaters, bitching about so-and-so dying, etc. Naruto fans, Bleach-tards... anything that has a large fan base is 100% guaranteed to have those ******** fans that live-s**t-breath their fandom.

I consider hard-core Twilight haters Twitards since they tend to put so much ******** time and effort into making everything clear that they hate everything related to Twilight and everyone who likes Twilight. IT'S JUST A POPULAR BOOK/MOVIE SERIES, GET OVER IT. Go ******** your own fandom so Twilight fans can ******** theirs.

"What the hell is a Twitard?"

>> A Twilight fan. Also known as Twitlits, Twilighters, Twihards, etc.

"Another movie? WTH?"

>> Well, of course they'll make sequels. New Moon is to be released November, 2009 with a twist ending now in the books. They're currently working on the next two adaptions after New Moon. You seriously think after all the money they made with the first movie they'll just drop it, think again. Haters, you're in for a long hard ride.

"When will Twilight just die?"

>> All things popular die out eventually, it's simply just a matter of time.

"Twilight is stupid, vampires aren't supposed to love a human."

>> It's called fantasy. Anything can happen. You'd be surprised how many people write stories of vampire loving humans, and how many books there are on that subject.

--------------------

Overall, it's okay to dislike Twilight, I'm not telling people to love Edward and his glittering a**, we're all entitled to our own opinions, we all like different things. Get off the God-damn hate bandwagon and look at what you enjoy reading/watching and quit bitching about s**t when you don't even got your facts straight on or know what the hell you're talking about.

Instead of ranting about how lava lamps are better than f*****t vampires go to a different thread or make your own thread about something you like. OH AND REALLY, it isn't necessary to plop Twilight in EVERY vampire series related thread that has nothing to do with Twilight itself. If the thread is about The Vampire Diaries, talk about The Vampire Diaries. If the thread is about Vampire Knight, talk about Vampire Knight, not how shitty Twilight is.

Not everything vampire related is Twilight related.

Yes, I am a fan of Twilight. No I won't rip your head off for hating Edward, or the books/movie period. I refuse to hide my fandom because of some silly label, and the growing popularity. I'll be adding s**t to this as time goes on, but for now this will do.
