--------------A shadowy veil cloaks the blackness around me. Faint light streams in through unseen windows. I lie here, unable to move. My breathing is the same as always and features unchanged. My long, jet black hair is short and to a point. The ends flip up slightly leaving a tale to be told. My black eyes waver, tears on the brink. Colors flow through them telling my emotions, weaving their web. Then the sound came..the faint tap of claws against tile floor. My body jolts with life bringing me to a sitting postion. My eyes began playing the colors of my mind. Purple, blue, red, black.
--------------The world is dizzy and spinning, I feel sick. The sound comes closer and I begin to hear whispers. Whispers against my ear, a thousand tiny voices speaking a different language. As I rise to bring myself to a standing postion my head throbs, beating its meloncoly beat. As I begin falling a reach out to the nothingness around me. In my weak attempt to balance myself and stand I tople. I brace my self for the impact...but it never came. I kept on falling, and falling and falling. I open my mouth and scream...but no sound. The whispers turn to a blood curling laugh and the tapping of the claws is washed away. Then I land with a thunk, but there was no pain.
--------------I feel nothing but stiff, hard and scratchy blankets and an understuffed pillow. Although I know that nothing had happened but a dream I pull it out from under my head a squeeze it. I hold it tight, able to wrap my arms around it so I could touch my back with my hands. Releasing my pillow it flops onto the stiff mattress, almost gliding like a feather. I swish my feet over the side of my bed and dangle them there. I swing them back and forth and back and forth like a metronome.
