"Tsunade! Please!"
It was a misty Friday morning in Konohagakure. Naruto, a blonde haired trouble-maker that was the host of the distructive fox demon, Kyuubi, and Ino, a blonde haired girl who was fighting with Sakura Haruno over Sasuke Uchiha's heart now that he returned from Orochimaru, were arguing about who was going to go on the next mission for the Hokage, Tsunade.
"I'll do anything to go on this mission!" Naruto begged.
"Lady 5th," Ino complaned, "Naruto'll probably fail this mission and cause an uproar! Let me go in his place!"
Tsunade sighed. Why am I the one to choose ninja for missions...? She thought to herself. She trusted Naruto a lot, but Hinata Hyuuga was assigned to the mission... Ino didn't know that Asuma already had a task for her... And this mission needed very strong ninja.
"Ino, your master, Asuma, already has a mission for you, and Naruto is capable of completing this mission. I suggest you go to Asuma. I need to inform Naruto and his partner of their mission." Tsunade told her. Ino stormed out, obviously angry.
"Ummmm.... Tsunade?" Naruto seemed confused.
"Yes, Naruto?"
"You haven't informed me of who my partner is..."
There suddenly was a knock on the door. "Come in!" Tsunade called.
Naruto stared as Hinata, a blue-black haired Hyuuga girl who was very shy and fainted almost everytime she saw Naruto, walked in. Not her, not her, not her. PLEASE not her.... his mind raced with excuses to not go on the mission with Hinata.
"Kurenai told me that I was to come here for information on my mission?" she told Tsunade. Her expression was bewildered. She kept glancing at Naruto.
"Yes, and as you can probably notice, Naruto is your partner in this mission." Tsunade told her. "Your mission, eliminate Sakon, one of the Sound Ninja 5."
Naruto's jaw locked and he glared at the floor with his fists clenched. Tsunade gazed from Naruto to Hinata. "Understood?"
"Understood." Naruto and Hinata said at once.
"Good, you set out in 2 days. You may leave."
