For those of you who dont know, my home town was devastated by Hurricane Rita. While I am quite happy to be alive, the town still has a long way to go before it is back to normal.
So far the biggest blow to me personally was the loss of our mall arcade, apparently there was a leak in the roof and alot of the games shorted out. Possibly on the hit list was Dance Dance Revolution. I know that there is worse things that could have happened but the Arcade was a big staple in my day, whenever I felt down I could always go there and find a friendly face.
Also, since the university that I am attending was shut down for over a month, we are having to work incredibly hard to catch up on all the work we missed. Not only that but we dont even know where half of our classes are being held because alot of the buildings were damaged in the storm.
All I know is that it will be quite a long road to recovery but I know that we will be able to make it.
