ROFL Chapter 11
Lox was still dodging Miki's poking when something crashed with a muffled 'thump' from the rafters above. Both of them stopped and looked up. Someone shrieked in the shadows and came rushing down to pick it up. Lox thought it was an elf because the girl he happened to see have long pointy ears sticking out from her red plaited hair. Her skin isnt as pale as the other guests. It has a grayish blue tinge on it. Not as pretty as the others but Lox wasnt about to complain about that. At least she isnt as bad as that fortune teller lady, Lox smiled to himself. Miki noticed and raised her right eyebrow. The elfish girl hastily picked up the bag and hurries away to the kitchen, looking embarrassed. Everyone else in the inn noticed nothing. All of them, Lox included, continued their unfinished business. He laughed and chatted with everyone else. His stomach was suddenly growling. Miki chortled audibly. Excusing himself, he went to the kitchen and helped himself to some food in the fridge.

As he opened the kitchen door, he saw that same odd elfish girl. Great, he thought to himself. The last thing he wanted is to have a chat with an elfish weirdo. The girl glanced up from her bag she had dropped earlier. She watched him with her beady eyes. Lox wouldnt call it watching... He'll call it leering or glaring. He got a plate of cold pissaladiere from the fridge and stood there eating it. The elf girl watched him carefully and stuffed the bag out of sight. Hm? He continued munching on his tart. She didnt move but continued to watch him.
"Yes?" he asked through his bulging cheeks. She didnt reply but shook her head in response. He swallowed and asked,"What's in the bag?"
She looked fearful and glanced swiftly at the door then back at him. What now? Lox had finished clearing up when she sighed loudly. He looked at her, quite alarmed now.
"Um... Are you new here?" He decided to do a small talk. "I've never seen you here before."
"Yes, I'm new here," she said is an expressionless tone.
"Oh. So um... What's in the bag?"
"It's nothing."
"If it's nothing you wouldnt rush down in a hurry and picked it up like it was something important." Lox knew he had struck gold; her face looked uncomfortable.
"If you want to see it, you can," she replied as she took out the bag.
"Really?" Stunned, he walked towards her. He was curious about what's inside that bag the first time he saw it anyway. At that moment, the kitchen door burst open. Two giggling girls walked in and strode towards the fridge. Sighing, Kyoko beckons to him to follow her. They exited the the inn through the front door and walked towards the quiet lake.

"I'd prefer it if no one joins us when i let you see the contents in this bag," she said.
"Right," he agreed. She opened her bag and took out a silver tiara which was adorned with an onyx stone. It was a pretty thing... Glittery and shiny.
"Nice," Lox said," why dont you put it on?"
"Because it's a painful reminder of my past. Although, since it is the only reminder, I am really protective of it,"she said, placing it delicately on her head.
"What reminder?"
"Why are you so curious?" she asked him. Taking a deep breath, she summarized the story of her past. "So, I am a princess from the land that's always Summer. It was just me, my mom, and my adopted brother and sister. Father had walked out on us when I was born. I left the castle one night because mom was being fairly unfair to me, in my eyes anyway. When I came back the next day, they were all killed. So, I left home, and ended up here."
"Do you think it was your father who killed them?"
"Possibly. Recently, due to some things that happened to me recently, some of us has come to the conclusion that he was a vampire. And that I am half Dark elf, and half Vampire." she spread her arms out wide. "Tah-dah!"
"Okay. I didnt know there were such creatures," Lox blinked at her.
"Im sure there are others out there. Take a look at me. The world is filled with surprises!" she said, taking the tiara off her head and placing it back into the bag.
Lox laughed appreciatively and said, "a crazy princess with surprises."
"Exactly! Now, tell me about yourself. It's only fair, since I told you." she said, poking him.
"My past dont interest you." I dont even know it myself, he thought.
"So? It doesn't matter if it doesn't interest me. But, if you don't wanna talk about it, that's fine with me." And with that, she moved towards the inn in a flash.
Snorting to himself, he followed her in his slow human speed. Before he entered, he heard a couple speaking audibly somewhere near the door. He froze.

"You startled me for a moment there... But I am glad to see you feeling better than you have been all week." Straightening the dragon up and laughing at himself, Michael wraps a wing around her as a gesture of returning the embrace, and that she's welcome. She beamed at him and said," Guess i just needed some company." She suddenly sobers up, staring at the piano, her hands folded in her lap. "Are yew sick of me yet too?"
"Rav.. I lo--- wai-what?" Taken aback by the sudden negative inquiry he stops mid-sentence, unsure if he'd heard correctly. "Sick of you? What in the world would make you think such a thing? But before you answer, no. I could never imagine anyone being sick of you, least of all myself." His smile had faltered at the sudden change in demeanor, a dragonic worry streaming along his face and voice wondering if he'd done something to cause the inquiry.
"Okay...but if yew do, let me know..and ill leave yew alone, promise?" She leaned over and smiled at him, poking him in the tummy. "Sorry bout that...what where yew saying?"
While listening the dragon's tail absentmindedly moves to pick at another key, but before it could get the chance is suddenly slammed against the wall across the room when Kimochi flies out from the spa and devours it. The white dragon then turns a few shades and lands with black spreading down its back surrounded by the blue and gold it originally had, the wings now a mix of black and white, like afternoon clouds on a dark night. Actually that's the exact pattern of the wings, black background and white clouds. One eye remains blue and the other changes to red, while the scales down its front alternate crimson and gold.
Raven blinked, before moving away from the piano. "Waaa?"

''Ravenella. Malinesse.'' While Kimochi looks down at its transformed body, Michael fades in behind Raven near the window. His lips were pursed as if upset, but his eyes reflect what he really feels as he still wishes for an answer to his question. Walking closer he rested a hand on her shoulder, and continued calmly, even sternly, but also with a strange twist of being hurt, confused and gentle. ''Please, tell me why you would think that. And look in my eyes when you do, please.'' Compared to his appearance over an hour ago it was completely different, his entire body was now clothed and cloaked, while his hands have become covered in black metal and leather gauntlets. While his skin is now visible it remains pale, even more so than a vampires ever thought possible. Truly as if he were an embodiment of a cloud or similar object. Of course all of this eludes Michael for the time being, the only thing on his mind being why the question was asked and how she thought he would ever feel a need to ask her to leave him alone.
She looked down, before looking back up at him, in his eyes, her own stormy round orbs. "I'm just...," she pulls back slightly, not really sure of how to explain it. "Its just lately i've been getting on peoples nerves, though they are still being nice...I was wondering if that was happening with yew...I didnt want to annoy yew...I dont want to..and I asked yew that, so that if i did, yew would let me know...," she looked down, her hair falling across her face.
Taking a deep breath Michael lets it out, then in a blur of movement ends with his left hand on the opposite shoulder. The only things to be used as clues to the movement would be the crack that echoes through the tavern, and the slight tinge on her right cheek where it had been moments before. That, and the fact said hand was now bare while its gauntlet rests in the grip of his right hand.
''No one. Is annoyed with you. And you are on no one's nerves. If anything, they are only upset with their own inability to help with your amnesia, and that is all I assure you. As for myself, the only thing I can ever be annoyed with, is the foolish way you are acting right now.'' Hoping he has gotten his point across, his hand draws down below her chin, lifting it slightly and now covered by its gauntlet as Michael appears on one knee just as quickly as the hand was recovered.
''But I will never be upset or annoyed with you yourself, and there is a simple reason why.''
Lox cringed silently at the doorstep, watching them as they were visible from the window, he was speechless.
Raven looked at him, not really certain what is going on her eyes wide, and swinging in colors, before sitting on a soft purple and blue as she looked at him, on his knee, slowly she whispers to him. "And why would that be?"
Despite kneeling his eyes are still almost completely level with her own, being maybe an inch or two lower at most as they close and reopen. ''I can never be annoyed or upset with you yourself, because...,'' Taking another deep breath he slowly lets it out, his eyes reopening and the process repeating a few times, all seeming as if he were only blinking before he finally manages it. ''.....I love you. ....Because I love Ravenella Malinesse.''
She paused, trying to work out how to react, after a few minutes she leans back, and throws herself at him in a hug. "Do yew really?"
''I do.'' Bringing his own arms around her Michael can't help but close his eyes in relief, fearing his actions may have been going too far after slapping her. Normally he would never do such a thing, especially to a woman or someone he cared about, unless they really needed it. This happened to be one such case in his eyes.
"I'll hold yew to yew word, my love. This time!" She smiled, her eyes finally settled on a lavender hue, she rubs a hand across her cheek lightly. "Hmm that would of hurt if yew left the gauntlet on!" She laughed lightly.
''And I will forever keep it, my love. ......Gauntlet? ....What gauntlet?'' So far all of his actual actions had been impulsive, only walking closer, the slap, kneel and hug were intentional. As far as removing the gauntlet and putting it on again, that was second nature seeing as he didn't wish to actually hurt her so he needn't even think it to do so. Hence, he still wasn't aware of his current appearance. And suddenly popping out of the dragon wasn't even conceivable let alone realizable once he'd done so.
She poked him gently. "Its understandable! I'd be worse!" she laughed, before wrapping her arms around him and giving him a warm hug. "Now is the time for happiness!" She smiles widely, knowing she made no sense.

Even a slight blush appears clear as day against his skin tone, but he gladly accepts it at the cost of Raven's embrace.
''I know, it is just how I am. After being around for so long this is the way I liked it best. Of course there are moments when my lord shows through in me..... like just a few moments ago.'' Laughing against her shoulder at her words and presence Michael's smile grows, nearly threatening to rip his head in half.
''No matter how formal or informal a time it may be... or how much sense something makes, I shall always be happiest when you are near.'' He turns his head slightly, just enough to give her a kiss on the cheek, then placed his face against her shoulder and gazed back over it.
She ran a hand up his back, giving him a close hug. "Such a sweety yew are!" she giggled, before turning in and giving him a kiss on the neck. "Yew know, imma gunna make yeww blush alot, dont yew?" She lifts an eyebrow archly. giving him her meaning.

Standing upright with her in his arms and lifting her a couple inches from the floor, he returns the look with a grin, after shivering slightly from the kiss of course. "Are you now?''
Laughing she nodded. "Of course!" She planted another kiss on his neck.
Lox balled up his fists.
