My heart reaches out to you,
But sometimes love can't stretch far enough.
You can bend, twist, and mend it,
But slowly it begins to fade.
The memories, the sights, the sounds,
Begin to die from old age,
And with them goes the laughter,
The tears,
The good times you brang.
Still, when I think of you,
My heart yearns for the happiness you gave.
As the sights and sounds begin to fade,
I'll never forget the light,
You brought to my dark age.
