Okay, if you've been keeping up with my updates (which haven't been happening very often; my bad), then you should know that just a little while ago, me and a couple of friends went to audition for SM Entertainment in SF.
WELL. First, I suppose a little background info on this topic would be called for.
If you don't know about SM, they're a Korean music company that is VERY widely known... in Asia. They're also pretty well known around the US, too, and I know for a fact that a hell of a lot of Gaians know about them. If you've heard of BoA or any of her songs (ending theme song for InuYasha, Every Heart to name ONE), the company she's under is SM. SM has produced a lot of accomplished artists and they've got roots in Japan and China, too. (This year, they're planning on debuting BoA in the US, if no one reading this knew.) Using BoA as an example, her Korean label is SM, but her Japanese label is AVEX. AVEX does a lot of work with SM and their artists, and this year (namely this MONTH), they're holding auditions in the US for their 20th annv. But, yeah. Can you guess why I'm making this post yet?
So, yeah, I applied and was accepted TO AUDITION. I wasn't accepted, no matter how much I wish... stare
Anyways, it's in two weeks.
