First of all I'd like to apologize to my readers for being a lazy a**. I found this wonderful website called www.gaiaonline.com and I've been hooked on it for the last few months, so no, I haven't died. I've also had college classes and haven't been able to write until now. Well enough talk on to chapter 6! XD

Studies of the Heart: Chapter 6
Vash and Wolfwood were sitting in the livingroom eating pizza. Vash had decided to order out, and he and Wolfwood had gone together on pizza as neither of them wanted anything else. Vash stuffed his fifth slice into his mouth, and kicked Wolfwood's fighter off his feet. They were playing Tekken 3 on Vash's playstation he had brought from home. Wolfwood fumed and clicked on the buttons furiously, trying to get Vash's character into a headlock, and failing miserably as Vash jumped away from the attack.
"Ha ha! Wolfwood you're gonna lose again. Why not just give up?"
"Never!!"
Wolfwood slammed his fist down on the controller, and accidentally activated the special move, finnishing Vash off with a barrage of lightning-quick kicks and punches. Vash's jaw dropped and he stared up at his partner.
"No fair! That was totally a fluke!"
Wolfwood laughed and blew a raspberry at Vash.
"Ha ha! Now I can kick your a** both ways needle noggin!"
Vash smirked and ponced, tackling Nick to the floor.
"We'll just see about that Nick."

Knives walked with Meryl back to her apartment, blushing a bit at the fact that he couldn't stop staring at her. There was something about the small girl that attracted him to her. Maybe it was the way she smiled with her eyes every time she looked at him. It made him shiver inside when her arm brushed his, as she stepped up to the door of her apartment building and pushed the call button. A high pitched female voice responded on the other end.
"Who is it?"
Meryl smiled.
"It's me Milly! I have someone with me. We'll be up in a sec."
She turned and opened the door, looking back at Knives.
"Come on up Knives. Milly loves meeting new people. Plus I'm sure she'll want to thank you herself for saving me."
She held the door open and Knives stepped in after her.The two of them climbed the stairs in silence until they reached Mery'ls apartment. She turned the key in the lock and opened the door. A smiling brunette about as tall as Knives rose from the couch and greeted her friend, then looked over at him and flashed him a warm smile, her long hair falling in her face.
"Welcome home Meryl! Oh! This must be your friend. Hello, my name is Milly Thompson. It's nice to mett you."
She stuck out her hand and knives shook it
calmly.
"Hi. I'm Knives Saverum. Your roommate ran into a little trouble earlier, and I helped her out."
Milly turned to Meryl, a worried look on her face.
"What kind of trouble Meryl? Are you all right?"
Meryl sighed and patted Milly reassuringly on the shoulder.
"I'm ok Milly. Some thugs just tried to rob me on the way home.Then this gentleman came out of nowhere and saved me. I asked him to walk me back, and I figured you'd wantto meet him."
Milly looked shocked and glomped her friend.
"Oh Meryl I'm so glad you're ok! It's horrible that innocent women can't even walk down the street these days."
She turned to Knives and patted him on the back.
"Thank you so much Mr. Knives for saving her. Hey are you hungry? I just finished making some Miso soup. Would you like some?"
Knives smiled and was about to speak when his stomache rumbled, reminding him that he'd skipped lunch. He nodded to Milly.
"Well, I guess that answers your question. Ha ha ha. I suppose I could stay a while..."

Back on the other side of town the wrestling match between Vash and Wolfwood was heating up. Vash currently wrapped in a full nelson courtesy of Nicholas. He twisted his arms back and went for his opponent's sensitive abs. Wolfwood lost his grip on the blonde, and Vash was then able to pin him to the ground, sitting on his chest. Wolfwood countered the attack by reaching up and squeezing Vash's a**, making him shudder. He took advantage of Vash's reaction by flipping their positions, and laying his body flat against him, pinnong his arms above his head, and he leaned down and pressed his lips against the blonde's. Vash fought back for a second, unwilling to lose again, but then submitted when Nicholas forced entry with his tongue and licked the roof of his mouth. Vash pushed back, deepening the kiss and twined his tongue with the other, breaking out of Wolfwood's grasp and threading his fingers up to tangle them in dark hair. He moaned when Wolfwood ground against him, already growing hard. Wolfwood smirked at the reaction he caused and reached up under Vash's shirt, frowning a bit as his fingers came into contact with the bandages. Vash noticed his frown and he leaned up, kissing Wolfwood's neck and collarbone to distract him. The dark haired man groaned and unbuttoned Vash's shirt, pulling it off and tossing it to the side. He dipped his head down and and trailed his tongue along the sensititve skin of Vash's chest and stomach. Vash whimpered and moaned in pleasure, feeling himself harden at Wolfwood's touch.
"Mmmmm, Nicholas..."
Nick moaned himself as he felt the blonde against him, and he reached down and undid Vash's belt and pants, freeing him from their constriction.
Vash gasped as his erection hit the air and he bucked up against Wolfwood sending little sparks of light dancing across his vision. He whimpered again as Wolfwood grasped him gently and began to stroke him. Knives sat at the table in Milly and Meryl's kitchen eating a bowl of miso. It was very good and he turned to Milly, who was sitting across from him.
"This is really good milly. You're a very good cook."
Milly blushed and giggled, turning away embarrassed.
"Ha ha gee Mr. Knives you sure are nice. But it's not my best. It's only miso."
Knives Smiled warmly at the two girls, his mood definitely lifted.
"No really I mean it. This is good. The two of you are the nice ones to let me come up here and eat with you. Thank you girls."
Milly and Meryl both blushed beet read and Knives laughed.He had only been there a short time, but he felt as though he had found good friends in Milly and Meryl....especially Meryl. He chanced a glance over at her and their eyes met. He stared deep into their stormy grey depths, before Meryl blushed again and looked away. But Milly had caught them staring.
"Ha ha ha. You two look like a couple of love birds!Could it be...? Love at first sight?! Oh that's so romantic! I'm so happy for the two of you!"
Meryl squealed in embarrassment and hi her face in her napkin. Knives stared wide eyed and shocked. Marvelling at the big girl's boldness. Meryl was less than amused.
"Millyyyyy!! You're not supposed to just come out and say those things!!"
Milly beamed at her embarassed friend.
"Well it's true though isn't it Meryl? I can see it in your eyes. In both of your eyes. I can tell. You've both fallen for each other in a matter of hours! It's all so romantic..."
She made a flirty face, and looked over at Knives who was speechless, stammering silently, his mouth moving but no sound coming out. But he did have to admit it was true. No matter how much he would try to deny it. He did have a growing sense of affection for the petite woman sitting in front of him. He couldn't help but agree with Milly. She did have a good heart and an uncanny sense of awareness about things. She reminded him of Vash. Always smiling and laughing, and pointing out things that others might have missed. Meryl was lucky to have her as a friend. He turned his gaze back over at Meryl, who was still noticably flustered, but flashed him a sweet smile anyway.
"Well, I guess it's not such an odd idea...You really are a nice guy, and you did save me....But.. it just still seems too good to be true. You've probably already got a girlfriend I bet. She's probably waiting for you right now, worried sick because you're so late.....I'm sorry I've kept you so long...I'll let you go to her..."
She got up to place her bowl in the sink, turning away from him, a sombre look on her face. But Knives got up and put his hands on her shoulders, turning her around to face him. He looked into her eyes again and smiled warmly at her.
"The only ones waiting for me at home are my dorky brother and his boyfriend. I don't have a girlfriend, but...if you want....you could be mine. I don't mind."
Meryl looked up at him and a smile spread across her face, and she jumped up and hugged him, her bowl clattering to the ground. He smiled and hugged her back.
"Yes! I'll be your girlfriend.I'd love to be your girlfriend. Oh thank you Knives!"
Knives smiled and kissed her cheek.
"I could get used to this.."

"Ungh! Oh Nicholas!..."
Vash moaned and arched to meet Wolfwood's thrusts as the other pounded into him. The two of them had moved to the bedroom, finding it more comfortable then the floor, and Wolfwood had tied Vash's wrists to the bedposts. The leather straps creaked with each thrust he made into the blonde and Vash moaned louder. Both of them drifted off into a pleasant sleep, wrapped up in each others arms.
