Ian Von Helson chattered happily to his brother as he led him into the depths of the Gold Mountain Casino. “This is the casino. I haven’t been here that often but I’ve played the slot machines before. I’ve only played blackjack once and I almost lost everything,” he said, giggling nervously as he led Louie towards the table.
“Did you get a lucky streak?” Louie asked calmly, a contrast to his spastic older brother.
“No, I nearly bet Peyo’s duck that he let me borrow for luck. But Lex stepped in and stopped me,” he said, referring to the blond host.
“Hn,” Louie said, not commenting on one of the blondes that had gotten his tongue stuck to a pole.
“That’s Jinx and Cardbot, two of the cards dealers. They switch around after a certain amount of time,” Ian continued to explain, not noticing that his brother had stopped. “Louie?” he asked, blinking.
“Who’s that?” he asked, pointing to a blonde who was dealing to a red head.
Ian looked closer at the gambler. “That’s Shrimp_Man, he comes in a lot to talk to the dealer, Russell Ace.”
Louie glared a little at his brother. “I was referring to the dealer, but I am always happy to know the name of one of my blood brothers,” he said, referencing the fact that Shrimp_Man was a vampire.
Ian blushed and he stuttered as he replied. “Oh…that’s Russell Ace. He’s the one that I was playing against when I almost lost everything. Want to meet him? Oh, I warn you, Shrimpie’s pretty obsessed with him. So I’m going to distract him while you talk to Russell. ‘K?” Ian asked, not giving Louie a chance to reply as he dragged his brother over to the table.
Shrimpie looked up as someone else walked up. He grinned when he saw who it was. “Hi Ian!” he chirped. His eyes narrowed when he saw how Louie was looking at Russell and he opened his mouth to speak but was drug away by Ian.
“Watch over his winnings, will you Russ?” Ian called. Shrimpie pouted as he watched Russell watch Louie back.
“Mine,” he told Ian.
“Until Russell agrees, you’re still just a fan,” Ian consoled the other.

Louie looked at Russell and he cocked his head in the redhead’s direction. “Who’s that?”
Russell shrugged as he gathered up the tokens and tickets left on the table. “Fanboy,” he said simply. “So Mr. Von Helson, what brings you into the casino today?”
“My brother wanted to show me around,” he explained while leaning against the table.
Russell leaned against the table in Louie’s direction. “Oh yeah? Well what do you think of our lovely building?” he asked, moving even closer to the other.
“It has some features that I quite like,” the black haired vampire said, his lips close to the blonde’s.
“I’m…glad…” Russell said, closing in, his eyes closing.
Shrimpie looked back at just the right/wrong moment and his eyes widened and he opened his mouth to scream. “NOO-”
Ian clamped his hand over Shrimpie’s mouth as he watched the two kiss. He was happy that his brother found someone a little less likely to fall for Liam again. “Shh…” he soothed the red head.
Louie pulled back from the kiss and he smiled at Russell. “So when does your shift end?” he asked.
“In a couple hours.”
“Meet me at the entrance?”
“Alright.”
