where wars never happened
the world couldn't take your children away

like the one that I've always imagined
where anger and frustration
could be taken out on music and mountains
a place where someone like me
wouldn't have to be
worn out into the faded concrete
where words can't fall on deaf ears
and someone like you can still hear
maybe in the future someday
there will be a place where we all can stay
but i will still be waiting on the bay
