Renlau encouraged me to put some of my sketches up here, so here they are. I'm currently in a figure drawing class, and these are some of the pieces I've done so far. Since none of these pictures will fit in my scanner, I just snapped 'em with my digital camera. Shitty, but effective.
This was my first drawing of the term. This is a gesture drawing.

I despise sight and measuring, it's so hard for me to get the drawings perfectly inside the grid.

When I'm drawing in class, I often discourage myself by comparing my work to other's pieces and see how much better they are than me. I was struggling so much with this sketch that I almost went into tears (I think I was on the rag that day). After class I started crying, thinking that I had absolutely no talent whatsoever, and that everything that I've been aspiring toward has been a waste. I was encouraged to show my piece to someone, and they were blown away. I thought they were kissing my a** at first, but then she took the picture and started parading it around for other people to see, whose reactions were the same. So, maybe it's not so crappy after all, lol.

Our professor gave us some artistic freedom for this piece. We were allowed to draw whatever we wanted, and this is what I barfed onto paper.

Based on some of Da Vinci's works, this drawing was focused entirely on drapery. It's incomplete for now.

And this is my WIP that I need to have finished by next week.

This is a piece I did a long time ago when I was attending the Art Institute of Portland.
